I love the jewelry. I usually don't like dragons that have a tiny bit of starsilk apparel when the dragons aren't space-themed, as I feel like it doens't fit or make sense, but it works so well on her I didn't notice it as first! Congrats on evading a minor pet peeve of mine, I guess? The horns paired with the unusal eyes and baubles on the skin makes her seem like some kind of deity or healer. They doesn't feel cluttered at all, maybe even going for a sort of "less is more" or simplistic feeling! I'm impressed)! I love the mage hat and assorted rouge/scout/ranger apparel, it gives them a sort of halloween-y vibe.[/columns]

Elenath is my favourite in your lair. Full stop. This dragon is absolutely [i]gorgeous![/i] Purple is one of my favourite colours and she’s just so magical and mysterious down to every last detail. I think it might be the glowing blue eyes that really tips this dragon over into excellence in cherry-on-top fashion. Also, bonus points for Sindarin naming ;p

Arrluck is gorgeous too! That pseudo-orca colouring looks fantastic with that accent and arcane eyes. Like an icy aurora borealis and the default home scene for your flight, while washed out, works really well with him! The orca bogsneak thing confuses me though, sounds like a neat subspecies - was this guy imperial scrolled? Or is he a non-bogsneak variant I couldn’t find linked? Either way that orca and beluga drawing you did is super SUPER adorable, I love them too!

Khoeli is almost a hidden gem. That is to say her thumbnail does not at all do her justice. Sooooo I made her big-sized just because she needs to be viewed in all her glory.
What I thought was possibly an orca cherub primary with lovely pink-purple iri wings from the lair page view turned out to be a gorgeous cherry tree up close (though amused I was right about the genes/color). This accent just works [i]incredibly well[/i] with these genes and colours. Matching arcane eyes is a bonus!
She’s so pretty I forgot I tend to pick spotlight dragons with at least some apparel (unless they’re ancients). Runner-ups to this spot before I saw her up close in the lair crawl were: Kuekuatsu (who also looks way more impressive and beautiful up close than in thumb nail) and Koa.
Special runner up mention to Thomas for that nifty scry in his bio!

Depth is dark perfection, oh my word - and I’ve never seen the chainlink jeweler familiar so perfectly matched to another dragon. Depth’s got a [i]lot[/i] going on but the “noise” of it works so well for his look. To my brain, the way this gear is layered, almost transforms him into an art piece with artistic brushes of black, white, and blue paint. However, there’s just enough coherency remaining in the dragon and apparel choices that I know what I’m looking at. It just works so very well together. I love him!
I'd weigh in on the pearl horns if you show me what he looks like without them, I'm bad at imagining stuff like that. I can say that I do like them as part of the whole.

@FishyWishyz Thanks for the wonderful compliments and likes! Looking at pretty dragons is definitely it’s own reward, I agree and I’m glad you think so about my lair! Chalcedony was definitely the product of wanting to finally get a snapper because I needed some cute/pretty chonks in my lair and I don’t mind at all if you go finding yourself a similar dragon :D
As for where I get my dragons, I’m thinking this is a rhetorical question but just in case, I’d have to say a lot of it is just diligently posting things I get on the auction house, no matter how little they sell for compared to lair, RNG luck in the coli, stuff like that which allows me to afford the genes I want or some of the more costly dragons, along with pretty accents whenever I see them. The rest is elbow grease breeding them up myself.
Since I love subspecies quite a bit and am a fan of creating pairs that contain the full color range of their subspecies, this leads to a few dragons who started out not as pretty as they could be. Almarea was one of these, believe it or not. For the longest time I was thinking maybe I’d have to get her a full-body skin but then I found her accent and was able to build an outfit I really like around it. I’m so glad to see her get appreciated!
As for Opherian, he’s one of my newest, so glad to see him get a shout out already too - pleased to put together a dragon well enough he qualifies as an exception too :D

I handed out a whopping 150-something stars to your collection, I think it was 153, but by the time I went to write this I forgot exactly where in the 50s lol.
I have so many tabs open for choosing the final 5, so many! 18 tabs! Forgive me but I’m too tired to list that many lol. Gonna take a moment to narrow them down to the final 5!

Kaolin is 100% WOW. Every single detail is on point and I could just stare at her forever. Congratulations on being one of my exceptions because I typically don’t like veined but on her with that apparel and her other colors/genes it’s just so gorgeous!

Kileth is against all odds given what he’s wearing with the smoke and clunky metals somehow still so aesthetically pleasing. I don’t even know how to put into words why I like him so much he definitely has the hypnotic elements of staring at dancing bonfire flames in the deep of night.

Akeno definitely hits one of my favourite dragon aesthetics (purple and mysterious). The unearthly set just looks SO GOOD mixed with his other apparel and purple colours. I’d personally stick with the blue candles (as opposed to the yellow ones in the bio outfit), but he’ll be looking excellent either way!

I do want to apologize for my lair, though. I returned from a 2.5 year hiatus and did a bit of downsizing recently. And in the wake of my return, everything has been a bit of a mess recently. I have a lot of plans to get back on track, but it will take me a bit before I can get there. The new genes/breeds (and Dustcarve) have also sidetracked me a little bit. I still need to grab a few more reps to be complete with my every-element-represented project.
As for the lack of apparel on my part... I am just so bad at dressing dragons. I love the genes so much that I want them to shine through. This is no knock on anybody that does it, but there are some dragons out there so dressed up that you can't even see their genes and I wonder if it's even worth it gening a dragon if dressing them up that way is the end goal. I try to find a good balance and rely heavily on sets.
Elenath is a good example of the kind of dressing I want. She was a must-have. Midnight is top tier for me (hence me liking all of your Midnight colored dragons). And she was a XYX G1?? I didn't even care that I was saving for my obes at that point. She just had to be mine. Her element was also perfect for the plans I had for her and since light is a huge part of it, the glowing just made sense, y'know? (Telperion and Laurelin are her counterparts; all of their bios explain where their inspriation came from!) She's actually my favorite in my lair too. (Second is Axel, my progen, but for nostalgic and art reasons of course!)
Arrluck is sort of a reject of the subspecies. When bogs dropped, I gened up the IriShimGlim Midnight/Ice/Ice and shared it with Ice Discord and the joke turned them into Orcas (and then of course the Beluga variant came as well). They are all supposed to be bogs, but the way breeding works, I rarely get imps from the pair anyways. He was meant to be bogged so they're 100%, but I never got around to it. When I got that accent, I just slapped it on him and enjoyed it so much, so he'll probably be an Imp forever at this point. And I'm okay with that because he's perfect to me as is.
I'm so happy to see Khoeli (and Kuekuatsu) get some love! I really liked the Orca/x/White combination with the softness of x Shimmer wings and so they were a random pair that created soft colors. They weren't really meant to have a story or lore or anything (just pretty babies!), but when I was reading some legends, I fell in love with the Kuekuatsu story, so I rewrote it to fit into their bios better and just rolled with it. Khoeli's accent was a very nice surprise. I figured the pinks would work decently with her Mist wings and when I put it on, I fell in love. It just works well with her, I think. These two are another example of me not being able to dress dragons. I rely a lot on accents/skins when I don't know how to dress them.

No worries about double pings. I considered adding "double pings are fine though" to the original post, maybe I still will, but I was worried about overwhelming people with too much words, not enough picture lol.
TLDR As someone with shoddy memory who doesn't like to sweat the small things anyway, I am 100% fine with getting double pinged because someone else forgot I was subbed. Lots of threads in this place where that preference is evenly split (ping vs don't ping).
