I post them up in various adoption threads and trading games, but very often I wish I could highlight some of those who have some amount of story behind them. Whether they're part of an interesting lineage or subspecies, were bred to follow a certain theme, or have noteworthy parents who could potentially contribute to their lore, some dragons could use some extra explanation! However, instead of taking on the pathogen that their parents tried to instill in them, the hatchlings ended up developing a [i]resistance[/i] to all infections. A lineage of [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/3406298][b]Inviolate dragons[/b][/url] thus began (developed by a lovely player who adopted dragons from my clan). This is the newest first generation offspring. Both parents have lore, with the traveling parent including a mention of this clutch in his lore, and both siblings have gone to lore homes as well. This guy is great if you want easy prompts for what his early life might have been like, or are looking for a dragon who might be born with wanderlust in his veins. Almost all of the offspring from this very Plague-loyal line are sent to scatter over the land like spores, so he is one of many who are shuffled out of the territory to go find a life for themselves elsewhere. How he feels about this fact is up to you. They're the offspring of a [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/100742795][b]parasitic creature[/b][/url] that the clan caught and rendered harmless and a [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/101444553][b]Shade construct[/b][/url], (both of which have lore in their bios,) as well as being part of nearly twenty other lineages that are organized in their bios. So, they definitely fall into the category of "dragon-adjacent creature." Lots of crazy lore potential here, I think. But for those who are interested in working the [b]lore[/b] of your new dragon into whatever comes next: [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/clan-profile/27166][b]The Ossuary[/b][/url] is an ancient clan that generally sticks close to traditional Plague sensibilities. The matriarch, [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/175399]Scapula[/url], has a reputation for being fairly ferocious and unforgiving, though she has slowly opened the clan up to more visitors and contact with the outside world in recent years. Case in point: a [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/lair/27166/2658918]small hostel[/url] has finally been built to accommodate travelers, so that those who dare to visit are not treated so much like intruders anymore. Now, there are usually at least a few wandering outsiders staying within the clan at any point in time. Otherwise, the Ossuary is very remote, situated deep within the Plagueridden wilderness, and has a relatively low level of technology and creature comforts. It is not generally a welcoming place, and all members are expected to significantly contribute either talent, effort, or some other value to the clan in order to be allowed to stay. They are also expected to successfully survive the pathogens and "rustic" living conditions. It can be harsh, but those who do earn their place are treated with plenty of respect. Some residents find comfort in this Plaguey ruggedness, while other residents experience great difficulty either with the challenging territory or with how certain others in the clan may treat them. Though many dragons (and dragon-adjacent creatures) from foreign flights live within the clan, the territory is still mostly geared toward Plagueborne preferences, and loyalty to the Plaguebringer is very much expected. Contact with other flights can be tense or limited, but they do have alliances over the borders with a few clans in both the Windswept Plateau and the Tangled Wood. There is also a fanatical [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/lair/27166/484707]cult of Light[/url] that dwells within the territory, but they have a complicated relationship with the rest of the Sunbeam Ruins. It is just as likely that a hatchling growing up in the Ossuary could experience a loving and comfortable childhood frolicking in the soft fungus fields, as they could endure a childhood fraught with harsh survival expectations and ideologies.
