There's only two hours left of the day and I haven't started writing anything yet hhhhh

I wanna be a lore clan so baaaaaad but I have the hardest time getting my ideas in writing ;~; I'm too critical of myself tbh

Ezekiel is done!

Just spent half my workday writing out ideas for what my clan lair looks like based on various inspirations and then remembered. I cannot draw. I should really go back to dragon personalities but hnnnng geography

So in the meantime I’ve been planning out lore for my Flight Ambassadors… which I only have two of, Wind and Air :(

Figured I might as well check in myself haha, got down quite a few notes for Yuli as planned! Most of them aren't actually in the bio because Messy™, but I think what IS there now is okay to leave until I can work on refinements (or an actual profile).

As that and No Spend November both kick off, I present to you your reminder ping: today, November 4th, is a Lore Whining Day! (Why is November always so busy?) Regardless of whether or not you're participating in Nano - I sure can't, LOL - I figured some character voice exercises might be useful! For those of you who want to take a crack at 'em, the goal here is to pick out/RNG up a few characters to work with and figure out how they react, BUT do it while only using dialogue. No descriptions, no dialogue tags, no movements/expressions, etc. This can be a good way to figure out where/how characters overlap or differ, and keeping it dialogue-only can help you avoid getting stuck on other details. (Of course, if a prompt gives you inspiration for a full scene, feel free to keep running with it! The "limits" here are optional as always, so don't worry about ignoring them if that's what works for you.) You can interpret "someone" however you like, whether it's a stranger, a friend, an enemy, etc. Similarly, you can interpret these situations however you like as well! Are things as simple/straightforward as they appear to be in the prompt, or is there another layer of context that might change your character's reaction? Something to consider! [LIST] [*]Someone makes a comment about your character's scar(s), or lack thereof. [*]Your character sniffles. Someone asks, "Are you sick?" [*]Someone approaches your character, holds out an object, and says, "Hey, you dropped this." [*]Someone addresses your character very confidently by a wrong name. [*]Your character is feeling confident or neutral about their outfit. Someone sees them and says, "You're wearing [i]that?[/i]" [*]Someone accidentally spills food or something undesirable on your character. [*]Someone attempts to insult your character. [*]Your character sees a child crying alone in public, shouting for their parent. [*]Your character comes across a friendly cat/dog/other pet-shaped animal. [*]Someone is excitedly showing your character a new drawing/sculpture/gadget/etc. [*]Someone challenges your character to a duel. [/LIST] Personal goal: get some dang sleep and then spend the day poking my song fandergs. Most of them are little more than a couple brief bullet points, but I'd really like them to be fleshed-out characters that Do Things, so elaborating on them will have to happen at some point. Once again LWD falls on a day when I have other things on the brain and, like, class and stuff. My goal is the same it's been for the last couple: to finally remember to put some bullet-pointed ideas into Starrunner's bio. If I figure out a way to write out the actual story in prose, that's a bonus!
