One of my favorite FR events was that one time everyone was scrambling for the dragon ID# 11111111. In the rush, a nest was half-hatched- the site glitched and registered three ID numbers, but the nest errored and dragons were not applied to those numbers. Later the next morning, there was a second, successful hatching of the same nest, with all new IDs. The dragons in this nest were then auctioned off due to their glitchy nature.

Also? The dragons were binary themed. All three were Obsidian/Obsidian/Green--Basic/Basic/Circuit--Lightning Flight Spirals. This happened in 2015. Here is one of the error ID numbers from the first hatch attempt-

Everyone remembers Naomi, but not enough remember the great binary glitch of 2015. (Also, I recently got a dragon from the exact same parents as the glitch dragons, so she's a direct sibling of the glitches. She's on Page 8 of my Cavern tab if you're curious, though I might give her her own tab soon...)

These are both older threads now, especially the Bogsneak one, so don't post, necros are discouraged around here, but they're fun reads.

Banescale teaser hype thread
A fun weekend of speculation and hype for the release of Banescale as the second Ancient breed, capped by the release of the breed on December 9 and the two eggs everyone received from Galore. Half of me looking forward to the future Ancient and modern in development was the fun and hype of following the speculation around the teasers. Sure, I've got a lady dragon picked out to be the new Ancient, but the hype around a very imminent release was a spectacular weekend.

And the teaser discussion thread around the release of Bogsneaks 4 years ago, over several days Baldwin slowly transformed from a Pearlcatcher (he used to be one, that's why there's a pearl on his shelf) into a Bogsneak.

A bit of a lesser-known event, but anyone remember the "T is for teveryone" thread? That was a great thread while it lasted.

The build-up to BotE was one that stuck out to me. It started about a week after I joined, when the Earthshaker changed his broadcast message. Then, one by one, the deities changed their broadcast messages too, and no one knew what it meant. There was a whole 400 pages or so of hype, and man, it was something.
