I've noticed an interesting trend in official artwork, wherein Sornieth's large moon is portrayed in a way that would be considered an "astronomically incorrect crescent." Exhibit A: Crystal Pools venue Exhibit B: Flowering Wasteland scene Exhibit C: Ghostlight Ruins scene When our moon is in crescent phase, the "horns" of the crescent do not go more than halfway around the celestial body as they do in the above artwork. I know that deep crescent shapes are often an artistic choice, and that's what I assumed was going on here, until I had another idea. There is a phenomenon called atmospheric refraction, which is when the sun's rays curve as they pass through the atmosphere of a celestial body. From our perspective on earth, it can make the sun appear to be higher above the horizon than it actually is. From the perspective of someone on the moon, the earth is outlined by a reddish glow as sunlight passes through its atmosphere. So what if that's what's happening here? What if Sornieth's big moon has an atmosphere? And if it does, what are the lore implications? Is the moon habitable? Are there alien life forms yet to be encountered? Do the Aethers know anything about this mystery world?

What is that third scene called? I want that.

Is it the Ghostlight Ruins? Looks similar to it.

A tired and slightly bored-looking night elf woman with short green hair and a burn scar on her left cheek, looking directly at the viewer. She's standing in front of a height chart for a mugshot, and her nose is bleeding.A night elf woman with purple facial tattoos and purple hair, looking at the viewer with a cocky grin. She's also standing against a height chart for a mugshot.

@EmpressSectonia Yes it is the Ghostlight Ruins scene! That one in particular also reminds me of an eclipse with the rosy horizon, which would be a cool concept to explore if the Ruins are located in the Hewn City.

Moon's haunted?

Would be interesting to see if there's a civilization there, if there's an atmosphere!
