The Maren Warlock and Clearwater Oracle would be cool to have a recolour of.
The only thing that keeps me sane is talking to my shoe
What a hard question, there's so many! I think my top ten would have to be (just using one from each existing set, but you get the picture):
[item=Sprangyroo][item=Elk][item=Pronghorn Stomper][item=Extinguished Jackalope][item=Cursed Bat]
[item=Nochnyr][item=Melon Marzal][item=Janustrap][item=Dismayed Devilwood][item=Ancient Fungus]
What a hard question, there's so many! I think my top ten would have to be (just using one from each existing set, but you get the picture):
Sprangyroo
Familiar
Sprangyroo begin their combat training from the moment they are able to stand on two feet.
2500
Elk
Familiar
Favored mounts and companions to fae dragons, its antlers make an excellent perch.
2600
Pronghorn Stomper
Familiar
Swift and strong, these towering creatures will drop to all fours and chase away anyone that threatens their territory.
2750
Extinguished Jackalope
Familiar
Jackalope ensnare bits of dry debris to burn when they forage in dangerous terrain. After this fuel has burned out, the jackalope is vulnerable to predators.
1800
Cursed Bat
Familiar
What is this bat's curse? That's for the unfortunate soul who catches this one to discover.
2100
Nochnyr
Familiar
A haphazard union of spare parts. (KS-Sponsored by Zen.)
2600
Melon Marzal
Familiar
Once a marzal ripens, it behaves more like an animal than a plant. Ripe melon marzals will uproot from their parent plant, travel great distances, then burrow to become a new plant.
1000
Janustrap
Familiar
One of the stalks keeps track of where flies will be, while the other monitors where dragons have been.
1635
Dismayed Devilwood
Familiar
Most trees would be dismayed to discover not one, but three missing pieces of their trunk.
250
Ancient Fungus
Familiar
The most crotchety of fungi. As it ages the outer shell becomes crackled and hard as stone.
[center]Oh this is a fun topic!

[item=dusk fuiran][item=Sanddrift Fuiran]
[item=All-Seeing Eye][item=portal watcher]
I'm sure I could find more that I would like but then it would never end haha[/center]
Most dragons are too large to practically ride a kelpie, and as such are regarded as allies, not prey.
250
Swamphaunt Kelpie
Familiar
Kelpies are omnivorous. If they are able to catch live prey, they prefer to drown it first.
250
Steam Gyre
Familiar
This spirit hovers around The Great Furnace. It is only visible as a manifestation in the vapors of the steam produced by the forges.
1800
Smoke Gyre
Familiar
Smoke Gyres often herald the arrival of their much larger, more destructive cousin, the Firebird.
1900
Glasswing Flutter
Familiar
Glasswings regularly shed their wings. The new growth may be of a different color each time.
0
Ruffle Glasswing
Familiar
Fiercely competitive when feeding, collisions between glasswings are common.
0
Dusk Fuiran
Familiar
This fuiran prefers to be out after the sun has set as its night vision has evolved to the point it can see even on moonless nights.
1950
Sanddrift Fuiran
Familiar
Move carefully, because those aren't pretty desert plants sticking up behind that rock.
1950
All-Seeing Eye
Familiar
One would think it would be blind to what's behind it.
2940
Portal Watcher
Familiar
Don't blink.

I'm sure I could find more that I would like but then it would never end haha

@/MissAri that is a super helpful spreadsheet, and I'm really impressed by the amount of time it must've taken to put that together!! :0

Thank you! It took a while but I like having this kind of visual data readily on hand and organized, and thankfully it's pretty easy to keep it up to date with new releases. All of my FR spreadsheets are self-indulgent so if anyone else gets use out of 'em I'm very happy! [emoji=coatl laughing size=1]

oh this is really useful! takes a while to load but its much eaiser to tell like this who has recolors and who could get them
heads up you appear to be missing the image for virgo and valorous battlemare
also wait why would the acolytes be unlikely to get a recolor ? the sprites got some, and i made a few edits of acolyte recolors for other flights (the water one gets recolored to shadow and earth to arcane for example)
[/quote]
Thank you- I've updated the images for those two missing fams, not quite sure what happened there, whoops.
My reasoning for unlikely recolours tend to fall into one of two categories- either there's no precedence for it, or I don't feel there's much you could do with a recolour.
For example, certain familiars already come in a set of 3 or 4 and there's no feats that require you to awaken more than 2. No animated familiars have gotten a recolour yet, and they'd require six new assets instead of just one. So those go into the "unlikely" category for me.
Joxar recolours are a bit harder to predict but I think the deity statues are least likely to get a variant just because... what can you even do with that. Another stone Icewarden but a slightly different shade of blue?
The Acolytes are a bit of both for me- they're turning 10 years old and haven't gotten a recolour yet so at this point I don't really see it happening, and also you'd have to pretty dramatically change the lineart to make them worthwhile or interesting as a new set of familiars. Totally possible of course! Just unlikely imo.

I'd love a fiona variation of some of the bat themed familiars! And ones for some of the bug familiars would be so good as well imo :0
Rumored to live in the sewers below the hewn city, noggles are said to grow to astonishing sizes. Dragons beware.
