ive noticed this sometimes and it confuses me

why do some of you buy dragons just to instantly exalt them?
i rarely exalt because I love my dragons too much but it seems a lot of others have no issue?

Buying adult dragons and training them a bit, then exalting them, is a very good way to earn money! ^^

After a while playing the game you stop getting so attached to dragons and then it's easy to start exalting them for profit. And it's good for the game too! Because we all have limited lair space, there's no way every dragon bred on the site could find a home. If the exalting for profit mechanic didn't exist, dragons would be worthless and they would just take up lair space even for people who didn't want them (because they would be so hard to sell) - then people would stop breeding dragons, stop having fun with the game and stop playing.

There's also dominance pushes - the flight that exalts the most dragons in a week gets dominance, which gives some nice bonuses (extra gathering turns, marketplace discounts, etc.).

So yeah, exalting might seem sad at first but it's actually a good thing!!

And in lore exalting is the highest honour a dragon can receive.

If you level them up it makes profit. Dominance is also exalt based, and during Night of The Nocturne exalted dragons could drop a chest too.

Also since dragons don't ever die, the only way to make space for new dragons if nobody wants to buy them off you is exalt them. if everybody stopped exalting at all we would very fast run out of lair spots, like all of us that breed dragons. Then we'd get stuck

Profit tbh. If you want to lower the chances of your dragons being exalted, make sure to sell them above fodder floor! Any dragon bought for around 9000 treasure or less is likely to be exalted.

most of the dragons that are like under 10kt/g on the ah are intended for fodder, used to exalt for more treasure later on or for dominance purposes. just a tip, if you haven't experienced this yet: if you plan on selling dragons and you want people to actually keep them you should sell them for higher than that, otherwise they are very likely to get exalted.

It's the easiest way to generate money on FR. I breed my own dragons just to train them up in the coliseum and exalt them. Most people stop at level 7, but if you go to 10 you can get 16k+ per exalt. It's slower but I no longer buy fodder to exalt due to a lot of people getting angry over it, so I rarely have more than a dozen or so dragons to train and don't need to be speedy.

Canonically exalting doesn't kill a dragon either, they just go to serve their deity. Since the deities are flesh and blood, this term is pretty literal: they just leave their lair to directly help the leader of their flight.

Pinging you just in case you aren’t subscribed to the thread, if you are i’m dearly sorry /lh
Most people are talking about why people exalt dragons and how to make sure yours aren’t exalted, but just in case you don’t know how exalting for profit/pushes work, here’s a handy Guide!
