A good way to ensure any dragon you want someone to care about doesn’t get exalted is to sell them 10-15tk!
But if you do the lowest, it’ll get snatched.
I snatch, level up, and sell for profit or for raffles. Or hold many for future events (like now having 100+ dergs ready to go).

I recognise that how I feel about a dragon is the only real difference between fodder and not fodder. The ones I exalt don't count as mine because I bulk-buy hatchlings specifically for exalting. They sit in my hibernal den until they match the daily exalt bonus, then I pull them out and name them and cherish them for as long as it takes to train them to level 8.
