The Susie art makes me wish they'd have done a fantasy approach to it as well, with it still coming off blatantly as a mobility device.
When I think of mobility devices in fantasy settings my mind goes to this really cool design specifically.
(character is eldarut from witch hat atelier, which I haven't gotten around to reading yet but this character rules)

I've heard a lot of good things about Witch Hat Atelier! Didn't know they had fantasy wheelchairs! Absolutely love that design - legged moving chairs are always such a fun concept, and that one looks executed really well. The horns as armrests is so cool.
I can totally imagine the FR universe having mobility devices like this, especially given how many legged inanimate(?) objects already canonically exist:
[item=Leisure Loaf][item=Danger Decor][item=Spidered Seat][item=Antique Chair][item=Horseless Carriage][item=Midnight Coach][item=Sugar and Spice][item=Salt and Pepper][item=Killer Keyboard][item=Poltergeist Piano][item=Curious Kettle][item=Ravenous Cauldron] just to name a few.

See, I think that the idea of crutches would actually be very humanistic. I could see Wildclaws using them, but that only really helps a biped. I bet they're used by the Beastclans, but not so much the dragons.
I'd envision that a) the prosthetic game is MUCH stronger for dragons and b) magic plays a HUGE game. We did just get this apparel:
And we've had these sets for a while:
That's also before you get into flight-specific options. Lightning dragons? Tech prosthetics. Very gears. Nature dragons could graft on a 'grown' limb. Plague too, though instead of the arm being made of plants or wood it would be made of dubiously sourced flesh and bone. Lots of necromancy there. Earth dragons carve elaborate stone prosthetics that are then enchanted by magic.
Also, as un-ergonomic as Suzie's chair looks, my personal view is that it is magic powered and that the control is in the back. Suzie controls it with her tail, leaving her hands free to crochet at will.
[/quote]
On the note about crutches - we already have cane apparel, which is functionally very similar to crutches.
[img]https://www1.flightrising.com/dgen/dressing-room/dummy?breed=16&gender=1&skin=0&apparel=34170&xt=dressing.png[/img]
So if the dragons are using canes then theoretically they can use crutches as well, since anatomically they'd map out the same.
Getting a variety of prosthetics apparel is also very nice. I would love some more visual representation of even more varieties - especially some less implied magical or highly advanced ones. Representation is always nice, but at a certain point leaning on magic or functionally-magic-sci-fi too much can feel more like a cop-out.
Also - Susie's chair being controlled via her tail so she can be hands-free is such a cute concept! I honestly really like that as an explanation for how her tail is laying and the visible handle behind her chair, rather than it being implied to be a push chair. Like a single lever type set-up that directs the movement of her chair! And then maybe some mechanics in the thick box underneath her seat to propel the chair that way rather than with her arms.

Leisure Loaf
Familiar
Of all the pieces of furniture to enchant, you chose the ottoman...
500
Danger Decor
Familiar
The unwary dragon may lose a claw to this famished furniture.
500
Spidered Seat
Familiar
None of the theories about the designer of this freaky furniture have any legs. The furniture itself has, well, plenty.
1500
Antique Chair
Familiar
Ewwww... gross! Yuck! The upholstery is definitely the wrong color.
1500
Horseless Carriage
Familiar
A magical marvel!
250
Midnight Coach
Familiar
Leaving on a Midnight Coach to the Tangled Wood.
250
Sugar and Spice
Familiar
Neither is nice.
250
Salt and Pepper
Familiar
A set of salt and pepper shakers that have learned to be charming.
250
Killer Keyboard
Familiar
Explorers of haunted mansions should be wary of any dark empty rooms housing simply a piano. Just walk by slowly, don't approach. The teeth aren't even the most horrifying part. The sounds...
1500
Poltergeist Piano
Familiar
The first (and last) symphony.
1500
Curious Kettle
Familiar
Baldwin might nonchalantly refer to this impossible monstrosity as "the one that got away."
1500
Ravenous Cauldron
Familiar
This cauldron needs just one more ingredient...YOU!
1500
just to name a few.

I wish dragon mobility aids / medical devices in general got revisited since Suzie. I just want more equippable items and more dragon-specialised ones, but I realise thats difficult to do while keeping the same poses.
I like using the steampunk wings [item=brass steampunk wings] as a low tech option, for flying assistance/support, or just general limb weakness.

I'm with the crew that says disability aids would need to be reevaluated for dragon physiology. Crutches presume that the armpits are over the weight-bearing legs, and that's just not true for a quadruped most of the time.
But then, for flighted dragons an injured leg might be less of a problem at all. If you can fly most places, and then slither crawl to the rest - say, a Fae - a non-functional leg isn't as limiting. But a broken *wing* would be devastating. And an injured or malformed head crest would seriously impair communication.
On the other hand, Snappers - who are heavy, obligate quadrupeds, not flighted, and nomadic - would have a very hard time without all four legs. A broken wing would bother them less, but functionally, by the standards of flighted dragons, the entire breed is disabled. A lair in Cloudsong or the Twisting Crescendo is going to need to think about how even able-bodied Snappers are getting around.
Magitech and familiars open up a lot of options. I've got a Coatl who is the greeter for my clan who wears crystal earrings that I imagine to be magical hearing aids, so she can communicate with Fae. I would guess underwater clans with non-water element, non-aquatic breeds also have magical solutions.

I [i]hate[/i] that they gave Suzie a human wheelchair. There are so many creative routes they could go when it comes to dragon apparel, weapons, and mobility aids. But they go with a boring copy-pasted human design? Can we not?
MLP knew how to do it correctly.

Ferrets, whose proportions are often likened to that of coatls have wheelchairs too as they often get weakness in the hind legs;

I found this really nice design by keymintt on twitter of a dragon specific wheelchair.

As for crutches, I agree with Stormdance. They're too human. They're not built for quadrupeds who really wouldn't need them, which most breeds are. Many animals do just fine losing one, or even 2 legs. If they used anything, I imagine it would be something like a prosthetic that would stabilize the weak/injured limb, or replace it entirely.

I think walkers would be more practical than wheelchairs for most dragons. For crutches, the right-most option on the top image seems better for actually holding them.
Your diagrams for how different breeds would use crutches are rather enlightening IMO.

I actually just saw some art of a (quadrupedal) dragon with a crutch earlier today. It's an adopt drawn by Eldragonis on Instagram, inspired by Viktor from Arcane. I can't paste the image atm but the crutch was under his front armpit and his back leg was also supported by something similar to the Enhancement apparel.
If you're looking for some extra visuals for what a quad mobility aid might look like!

I always thought it would be similar to how mobility aids work for quadruped animals since a lot of the dragons are four legged. Traditional human mobility wouldn't be as compatible since the anatomy isn't the same ans where the support is needed for their weight(since it's distributed differnt since they have 6 limbs)

oh wow! I just looked it up - that's a brilliant design for quadruped crutches!!! I love that so much :D

I feel like canine prosthesis have some good ideas for if you want to give quadrupedal dragons mobility aids that would serve similar roles to crutches as mobility aids. Tons of different designs too if you look them up!

i don't know much about the physical function of regular wheelchairs, much less the anatomy of dragons, so i could be way off base here-- but i had the thought that maybe susie has a quadrupedal mobility aid for when she's actively moving around, and the chair is mostly meant to be for her to sit and relax and do crochet in, and also has some mobility capacity in case she wants to go get more yarn or what have you. like, it has the ability to move if she needs it to, but its not her main way of getting around. (i think the idea of her controlling it with her tail is really fun too!)
