When Elias tunneled out from the ridges and dust that are Greatwyrm's Breach, he headed for the distant sight of vibrant green on the hazy horizon. Leaving friends and family, he traveled for several days before reaching the edge of the Viridian Labyrinth. Around this time, the Gladekeeper had created the matron and her mate of our clan, [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/36557384]Lyfre[/url] (and [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/36557385]Jovie[/url].) The Gladekeeper, wise and knowing, made sure that Lyfre and Elias would meet in the Everbloom Gardens on one fateful autumn's day. When Lyfre learned of Elias's great skill with tunneling and saw that he was also lonely, she invited him into the clan. At this time, the Grove Clan was still nestled in the trees and shrubbery winding around the deep pools of the Everbloom Gardens. Together, they sought a peaceful area near water but out of sight. Having finally found the perfect spot, after hours of searching, Elias began creating our current home. With the help of the Gladekeeper, Elias created a vast cavern leading deep into the rich earth near the Gladeveins. Within this network of roomy caves and tunnels, we have some places where the sun reaches for sunbathing, room for growing food, places to live, and a waterfall that leads into a river and pond full of fish and aquatic plant life.

Teotihuacan represents the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, originally constructed by the Mesoamerican Totonacs and later found by the Aztecs. He also represents the feathered serpent, Quetzalcoatl. I have a deep respect for the rich indigenous cultures during these past centuries, even into today, from the Americas. I just had to have a little reminder of them in my lair.
