A second Shadow ancient inspired by the Kitsune would be amazing. Why Shadow, you ask? Primarily because Shadow is a flight of tricksters canonically. Its first breed, the Nocturnes, are mimics who mimic each other and other breeds, even in battle. The tooltip for the Mirror item also implies that Nocturnes cannot see their reflections, like vampires (they're also based on bats). Its second breed, the Veilspun, are heavily inspired by fairies and fey beings, which are commonly portrayed as tricksters. Veilspun are implied to have shapeshifting abilities on top of their ability to hypnotize others. Kitsune are also shapeshifting tricksters. There's also a region in the Tangled Wood potentially named in reference to Kitsune, the Foxfire Bramble. Not only is foxfire tied to the Kitsune, but the brambles themselves could be interpreted as long, twisting fox tails. Maybe this hypothetical ancient is how the Foxfire Bramble got its name? I also just think we need another ancient with multiple tails. We've had plenty with more than 2 wings and 4 legs but currently only Aberrations have more than one head/tail. Heads is a little tricky due to avatars only being able to show one head (and you can't pick which one) but there's nothing stopping us from going crazy on tails.
FOX DRAGON OR BUST!!!!
Would love to see some Níðhöggr, or otherwise Nordic, inspired dragons. Also would love some authentic Wyverns, Banescales just don't hit that Illuminated Beastiary, Coat of Arms Wyvern/Wyrm vibe. Staff seems so worried about "westernized" so perhaps give us some Really Western dragons? Only Guardians even come close out of the dragons we have so far.
Yeah, I kinda felt "Wind is Asian" came out of left field with Light having Imperials and Pearlcatchers, and Earth having Obelisks.
I'd love to see a more Nordic and / or Northern European take on a dragon - Lindworm, Stollworm, Tatzelworm (of course) - and I'd also like to see a very "Welsh" type. The Guardian is almost there already, but it could be tweaked even further. If FR want to bring in dragons inspired by other mythical animals, then the Black Shuck and the Kelpie are right here and waiting...

I'd love a naga inspired ancient for lightning, but make it a wyvern not a serpent.

Man, I wish Greece had better dragons. I'd love some Greek myth thing to go with light since we are the 'throw ancient Rome and Greece in a pot and make soup' flight but all Greek myth dragons are basically big snakes. And we already have hydras :(

I personally want a breed based on kitsune! They could be long time allies of the kitsune beastclan, similar to how deep sea maren teamed up with Undertides. Lately, it feels like the beastclans haven't been discussed much lore wise, and we haven't gotten an expansion update like we did for harpies.

For focusing on Western folklore, there's a creature called an enfield! It's chimeric (has the head of a fox, front legs of a bird of prey, back legs of a wolf, chest of a greyhound) but story wise, it was said to protect burial sites and the bodies of those who fell in war. We have a fanmade subspecies, even!

While I'd consider it more so Water aligned due to the fact that the first enfield apparently emerged from the sea (apparently), it'd be a good Light Ancient or modern since the Lightweaver could have created or unsealed them to stop more Imperials from rising as an Emperor, or they could be released in a site wide effort to put Luminax to rest finally. Everluxes are still cool Ancients, but it feels like we need a breed that might counter Emperors if the Lightweaver herself said she needs to fix the problem.

On Everluxes themselves, a bookworm that records everything they experience is a great counter to fey dragons that don't wish to be seen and hide the truth.
I'd love to see an Amphisbaena, in terms of funkier "Western" dragons, or a folkloric salamander. Honestly, I just want a truly wingless snake. I'd also love to see something like a naga or uraeus where it's a cobra. The hood would be really neat for secondaries.
Oh man, more snake-like dragons without legs or wings would be great. I was thinking something like a lindworm/lindwyrm (also known as linnorms in TTRPG spaces) since they're considered one of the precursors to most Western style dragons.

I think either Tlaltecuhtli or Cipactli could be great inspiration for Earth (or potentially even water) dragon breeds. Various horned serpent myths exist across North America and parts of Asia as well, and would match well with some of the snake familiars we've got. But would also just be great as a tert breaking gene as well to spiff up Undertides. Sphinx but instead of a human face, its a face of another creature, or even a dragon face. [emoji=veilspun laughing size=1] They could mimic and do riddles and could be a Shadow breed.
