When I joined the only way to preview genes was to buy or borrow gene scrolls, so I had no way of really knowing what anything would look like aside from basic on the original colour wheel. Honestly, I think all I would change on [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/47903]Vix[/url] is make her secondary Azure, or even Crimson.

Oh man, I will say it is really fun to go into this thread and see how different everyone's progens were/initial inspirations.
For me, idk- when I made my progen I wanted something more muted to fit in with earth, but I didn't know anything about how flight rising worked at the time. I got pretty lucky with the tert being another blue, and I've been pretty happy with her overall. But if I did it again I probably would forgo trying to make anything muted and go for some of the bright colors I lean towards more nowadays, like a double banana.

I joined on a whim late at night and didn't understand the scrying workshop or that I could visit it and test out colors/genes ahead of time. I picked seafoam thinking it was more appropriately water flight-y and that it wouldn't have a yellow accent in absolutely every gene..............
Rose also has WAY MORE yellow than I expected. I would probably shoot for pistachio and pearl now-just scoot them over a bit to the left.
I recognize that in a weird way this DOES sync up. Rose/Seafoam/Lemon is a combo with prim/sec accents syncing up with the tert color. I should in theory be grateful. But like. I don't want all this yellow. It's so ugly and inescapable. But I love Kono and this skin makes her look gorgeous so it's fine. Like I said in her profile, "an outfit can cover even the worst tert if you're brave enough."

I wouldn't change his primary or secondary if I had a do over, I just wish his tert hadn't decided to be green. I made it work in the end but I definitely would try rerolling it if I had a do over, but with my luck I'd get Tomato or something

Technically I'd redo the whole thing completely different, lol. If I was being serious I'd choose a Mirror. But I thought the Tundra was just so funny looking and so my goal became to make him as goofy-looking as possible. I don't even want to do a breed change on him because now he's My Guy.

Yeah, I scattered mine and I'm still ehhh on her. Originally she was brown/coral/seafoam. I do not know why I did that outside of it was ten years ago and I had no idea what I was doing, I'm not huge on tundras anymore either, so she's been stuck in my hibden until I figure her out eventually. I would've done an xxy and made her a fae to start with, and gone less pink and brown, honestly I would've gone bluer since I swapped flights

If I were looking at him with his original colors? Yeah, I'd want to change him - he was Splash/Blood/Tangerine. If I were to fully customize him, I'd put both the primary and secondary in the dark blue range or, if expansion colors were allowed, probably give him a Robin primary with a purple secondary that would complement the accent colors. Tert would probably either be something neutral like White or elsewhere in the blue/purple range.
However, since his scatter, I'm actually pretty happy with him - and I don't think I'd change anything at all about him currently. It was a very lucky scatter and now I think he looks stunning.
