i did about 80 chests today, sold most, opened 5 for fun and got 1 egg! between selling chests, that egg, grand exchange items and some of the new stuff, im ending today with 2.2kg :bighugemuscles:
i also dropped a roc in harpys roost! its my only one so im not selling it, but very lucky ^3^ great start to my first proper notn!!
my goal is 30kg by the end~

I've been tracking my chest to egg ratio ever since NOTN started, and it averages about 1 egg in every 10 chests pretty consistantly. Just be aware RNG can swing wildly with smaller sample sizes. In 2021 I opened 709 chests and got 61 eggs. The next year I only opened 480 but I got 59 eggs. 2023 was 250 chests with 28 eggs. 2024 was 100 chests with 8 eggs.
We'll see what this year brings!

My goal this year is to make 2kg every day, today I made it almost to 3kg! Very pleased to see if I can keep this momentum going, definitely not aiming for 3kg every day but hoping to at least get 2kg. Purposefully setting aside time to grind with a movie every day plus bonding with as many familiars as I can stand oughtta do it, I'm hoping!
I set myself up for success by apparently only grinding in one venue the whole time last year, lol, I've got stacks of some materials and practically none of others. I was able to set up in the Waterway and make like 30 chest trades just from filling in the materials I didn't already have.

11 eggs today (so far), one hatched, not exactly sure how many chests i've obtained so far though (i would never be able to remember, so i just don't bother counting lol). I was pretty busy today, though, so I haven't been going as hard as I'd like to be...whenever i hit a stack of eggs i'll probably start selling my chests (unless i manage to hit a stack SUPER early, in which case... let's go for two? :P)
