Blueberry Hill by Boogie Belgique
Not the sort of music I tend to seek out but I liked it! Swingy. Lots of good noises. I really liked The Getaway, but all of it was pretty good.
Loot:

[item="Strange Chest"] x30
Also a bunch of familiars I wasn't paying attention to

This is closer to my comfort zone than my last album, so I feel like I can dissect the musical intricacies better. This music was pleasant, but inoffensive. The tracks I liked least weren't dragged to the bottom of the list because they were bad (they were all very good tracks) but because they weren't all that interesting to me. It's a very theatrical album, and some of the patterns reminded me of the conventions used in show tunes. There are parts of each song that are really unique! I do think many of the songs suffer from being longer than their lyrics support. The instrumentals absolutely need that time to build, though, so I can forgive it.
The feminine vocalist has an amazing voice. And whoever is on electric guitar clearly knows their way around their instrument! Gorgeous! Every measure that went by where they weren't using it was physically painful because I wanted to hear more of it. As a flute player, I appreciated the flute in Mother. Everytime I hear flute in music I have to point and go "FLUTE SIGHTING!!!!"
My favorite tracks were Something in the Water, To What End, and Chains of Changes. Especially Something in the Water.

This is a fun, energetic album with lots of classical guitar. I really enjoyed the sound. The Hustle might be my favorite song today.

The Awakening by Iniko
I was intrigued by the start from the first song, and I really enjoyed this album! The music sounded very pretty, and the vocalist has a beautiful voice that pairs well with the music. It was very soothing sounding. I loved the beats and instrumentals, it got me jamming. The album was very cohesive, everything fit together so well but was different enough to make it a really fun and interesting listen, nothing felt repetitive. The production sounded really good, everything felt so filled out and well placed. Nothing was there just for the hell of it, it all worked together to serve the songs to their fullest. But it still felt so natural, not manufactured.
"Icarus" and "333" were sweet I loved how they sounded. Their vocal layering in "Marisol" and "Rain" was really beautiful, and I loved the usage of different instruments in all the songs. The soft sax in "Speak to Me" and the strings in "Yosemite (Song For The Ahwahnechee)" really added to the music. Their vocals had so much emotion, I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be listening to more of their music. I'm glad I heard it!

I wanna get into this! I like a tonnn of different music, so I wanna try to share a different genre each time!
TRUST CEREMONY - Jhariah
I'm familiar with this guy! A few of my friends love his music, and I've heard (and enjoyed) a few songs of his. This is the first time I sat and listened to an entire album from him though!
This one was fun!! My first and strongest impression was that it sounded like boss music (which is fitting for coli grinding haha). Very bold, energetic music. It feels like very saturated yellow and neon purple to me.
The range in vibes and genre influences is really fun too! A lot of songs feel very different from one another (I thought COLLARBONE was a really interesting shift, and CONTROL BABY felt so much more serious (which fit the message of the song really well haha)), which I looove in artists. I also really really like Jhariah's vocal range! I feel like most artists will stay in a very narrow range (maybe with a couple little high or low bits for brief emphasis), but he constantly dances around a very wide range of pitches throughout the entirety of every song. It gives them a lot of really fun flair, and adds a lot to the sense of energy!
I really struggled to pick out a favorite. RISK, RISK, RISK! is one of the songs I'd heard before, and I still really like it! But I also really love the power in CONTROL BABY, and the energy in BIGSHOT, and the tune in MAYBE LATER DANCE. I like all of them!!
Overall, I really liked this!! Thanks for giving me an excuse to finally listen to one of Jhariah's albums haha
LOOT.
Believe it or not, I actually intended to grind in Blooming Grove (I really want some dried lilium petals </3). But I'm so used to grinding Bamboo Falls, I ended up doing that on autopilot instead.
Ah well. Still got some chests!

I don't understand how this 53 minute album is two hours long. Never in a hundred years would I have picked this up. I heard Intro and went "Oh boy, I'm in for a ride." And I'd like to report, the ride wasn't bad? Weird, but not bad. Like if you distilled the essence of early dystopian cyberpunk short stories (there's one I'm thinking of but I can't conjure the title for the life of me) and combined it with industrial rap. I really, really liked the industrial instrumentals of this album. The closest I've experienced to something like this album is Nero's Day at Disneyland. Was it pleasant? Absolutely not. Was it interesting? Yes, and unfortunately my take on music is if it's not a little bit jarring in some way, it can never be truly good.
Dead Channel Sky balances its edginess with some awesome humor. Enough to make me burst out laughing. I had to stop grinding to write down one of the verses, this one, in Mirror Shades: "God is not here, He forgot to wear his mirror shades." That made me cackle (reminded me a little of ZZ Top's Cheap Sunglasses. Some things never change, like the value of a good pair of sunglasses). The lyrics here are really strong.
Polaroids is my favorite for poetry's sake. Welcome Home Warrior and Ask What Happened are very strong in terms of message. For amusement level, Dodger, Mirror Shades, and Change the channel made me laugh the most.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This one you don't have to listen to the full thing, instead, listen up to Track 15, which will give you a good musical conclusion without listening to the full album. Listening up to Track 15 will put you at about a 69 minute run-time. The whole album is 2hrs and 31 minutes, so don't do that to yourself unless you want to. If you want to only listen to an hour, you can also do that (I think that would mean stopping at Track 12 or 13). It's a long album.

If you want to only listen to an hour, you can also do that (I think that would mean stopping at Track 12 or 13). It's a long album.
C418 - Minecraft Volume Beta
Oh man. This is one of my favorite albums of all time, and if I had the time I'd listen to the whole thing while grinding in the coli, but I had to stop at Taswell this time. C418's music is SUCH a treat. I think I've listened to this full album upwards of a hundred times at this point LOL. The song Alpha made me tear up like crazy, still.
Out of the tracks I got through, my favorite is Blind Spots! But out of the entire album, I think my favorite has to be The End. It's the culmination of the entirety of Minecraft's existing soundtrack in the game (at the time it was released), and it gives me major chills every time I listen to it. When Sweden's melody starts playing towards the climax? GRAHHHHHHH!!!! RIPS THE SLEEVES OFF OF MY SHIRT!!!

WOW. Can I just say, mythical pull of an album. I love techno sounding, instrumental albums so so much, I'm glad I picked this one up. My favorite song was easily the titular Does it Look Like I'm Here? with the very 8-bit style start and continued just. Good synths. Loved this!! Insanely good!
As for my drops:
