I also started a while ago but took a long break (about 2 years), and came back around the end of October, beginning of November 2025
and it was during these past couple of months that I met a friend we seem to have in common (Osa) ^-^
I like that you have your lair like a museum, mine isn't quite the same but I do have a collection of gemstone themed dragons as a small part of it, including some spare geode dragons if you wanted any. I know Osa is collecting a lot of them from me if you wanted to join us with that
I also spend far too much time in the scrying workshop and have way too many projects to count. Only 4 of my 100+ dragons are actually fully completed projects

If you ever have the time and space, you should consider getting one. I find the hobby super fulfilling and the tarantulas are about as low maintenance as it gets for keeping pets. Most species are suuuuuuper easy to care for. Plus, you can decorate the enclosures on fun ways.

I'm actually really interested in the spiders/mantids. I love animals (I currently work as a vet assistant), but I really only know about the fluffy animals and not the buggy ones. I've done some research into tarantulas awhile back because I would really like to get a pink toe tarantula at some point, but that's really it. I'm always interested in learning more stuff.

Pink toes are lovely. You should look into the Caribana versicolor if you are interesting in a spider that is a little more colorful. They are very similar to the typical pink toe.

I kind of missed most of the first week of NotN, but now I'm sitting at 21 eggs. I hatched the first one and ended up selling the dragon because it wasn't anything I'm going to keep. I think my personal goal will be 25 eggs by the end of the event. I keep getting so many [item=parasitic stockpile] but it's ok because I think they're actually a really cool familiar.
I actually really do enjoy my work! I'm of the belief that if I'm going to be doing something 40+ hours a week, every week, then it should be something I want to be doing. I like that there is always something different going on. I kind of go back and forth on whether or not to go to vet tech school. I think that will be one of those things where I will have to see if time and money permits it.

They're just such incredibly smart animals. And cats - I never considered myself a cat person until I found my cat. I couldn't imagine not having him around. He has such a great personality.
