I would really enjoy Sunsail on Auraboas, Cirri and dusties in particular

Something like the new guises as a tert for ancients! Like Flameforger but only on the head/neck and if it makes the head looks like it's floating like the guise do even better! [emoji=aether love size=1]

A tertiary that matches horses' hoof/face markings - perhaps socks and blaze patterns? I would love something to match piebald and paint with on my Cirri! Plus, it wouldn't be linebreaking, and it would be very complementary to busy prims/secondaries to distinguish the limbs. The only limit I can think of is that socks wouldn't be visible on Undertides, but they just wouldn't get the gene.
You could call it simply Markings, which is the technical term, or Socks. Or, you could call it Equine, similar to Tiger/Peregrine/Leopard/etc.

I would love to see moderns get more tertiary genes that really go wild with different accent colors and hue shifts, in the way that some ancient terts do.
Think like the accents on Deco, Greenskeeper, Diaphanous, Paradise, and Moss, among others.
These genes dramatically shift the base color, and add accents that aren't commonly used for that color otherwise. I like these sorts of genes because they really expand on the ability of certain colors to work together, and open the doorway for new matchy color combos, and I'd love to see moderns get more terts that do this as well. And while yes, the genes I listed above are too linebreaking to be ported to moderns, that doesn't mean we couldn't get entirely new modern terts that do this.
Some ideas:
Nouveau - I imagine this tert being sort of a hybrid of Filigree and Deco, adding curving metal accents to parts of the dragon; it would have similar accent color gradients and hue shifts to Deco. The name refers to "Art Nouveau", which was an art movement characterised by organic, flowing forms. An alternative name idea could be "Gilded", referring to the process of applying gold leaf to a surface, which can be used to give a similar appearance of metal accents on something.
Geode - I imagine this tert being like Scales, in that it's a minor linebreaker that primarily affects the limbs and head, but it's a layer of rock that blends into the prim/sec underneath, with a layer of crystals acting as the transition between the body and the gene. The crystal layer would be the base color, while the outer rock layer is an accent color/tone. The crystals would also have accent gradients.
Carnival - I imagine this tert being like a non-linebreaking version of Paradise. It would add colorful feather designs that wrap around parts of the dragon. The designs would have similar tones and accents to Paradise. Other names for this gene could be "Venetian" (referring to the Carnival of Venice), or "Masquerade" (referring to masquerade balls, which have their origins in carnival.)

I would quite like to see Points on the Cirrus breed, it would make it a lot easier to make roan coated dragons!

not sure if anyone suggested something similar but I think something like Effect: Shimmerscale as a tert would be great. just adding a highlight of the tert color over the dragon.
Even if the same assets are used or it is released as a gem gene I would definitely buy it, it would serve a similar role as stained/soap but will not completely cover the dragon's colors.

Seconding this!
Maybe instead of scales it could just be dappled light (so it would work on the fluffy breeds)

Sounds cool! I'm thinking it could be called Fractals, and it could be an analogue to Crystal/Facet. I mean, you'd take the angular sparkly shapes of those genes but colour them like the tertiary... and maybe have more of them as well.
