Hi! I write roleplaying games. Specifically, I write for Pathfinder 2e books (and now Starfinder 2e, but who's counting?). I think that the system is elegant, the combat is fun, and the art is gorgeous; and a project I've been wanting to do for a while is statting up all of the familiars in the Flight Rising bestiary. That's right. All of them.
Not all at once, of course, but a little at a time. So if you like to play Pathfinder and have ever thought to yourself, "Man, the familiars would be perfect to use as monsters in my game," then you're in luck!
I'm going to have a few goals for this project:
1. I want there to be a spread of levels across the entries so that a wide variety of games can actually use this statted bestiary.
2. Where possible, I want the Coliseum monster stats to help inform the PF2e stat block.
3. I want the stat blocks to be more than just a list of attacks. Anyone can make that. Instead, I want the stats and abilities to paint a clear picture in the reader's mind of how these monsters behave. This might involve making up some lore here and there, but I'll try to keep to the canon where possible.
Comments and critique are welcome! I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this project. And if you have suggestions for the next monsters to tackle or requests for certain CRs, feel free to speak up. Or just tell me what cool thing happened in your last PF2e session!
