Favourite star-like dragon today:
Compliment: @
Potatoad both of these starry ladies are gorgeous!
Luna looks like a starry night sky touched by a faint aurora. Her pale eyes shine out from under her mane like a bright star. Her Sparkles complete the look of course. A very beautiful dragon!
Kuu is so noble and tranquil, she makes me think of looking at the reflection of the night sky in a clear, quiet lake. I get the sense that she's very wise, or at least calm enough that others assume that she has answers for them. I'm surprised that all of her colours are different, I thought she was an xxx!
(And thank you for making the randomizer! It's very useful! <3)
Below is Stardust meeting these lovlies (and a cameo from Hazard):
Story/RP:
Dragons that were
stars!? Dragons could
be stars? Or stars could be dragons.. ? Stardust wasn't too sure on this point, but she had been buzzing with excitement ever since Ylli had read out that mysterious letter. (So excited that perhaps she hadn't properly taken the information in…)
Stardust couldn't
wait to meet a real, actual star. She wished
she could be a star. Not that she was sure what being a star would entail, but it sounded cool. Stars had lots of friends, right? Up there in the sky with them, sparkling together.
Her mind was filled with thoughts of star-dragons all the way home. A bright flash of gold in the sky brought her attention back into the moment (even if it was with a thought of
Star?!).
It wasn't a star, but a Banescale. One that Stardust recognised as a dragon that was helping Ylli this event. He must be going home to a clan in the Viridian Labyrinth too. But maybe… maybe the star lived in
his clan? The star could be her
neighbour!
Stardust flapped her little wings harder to keep the big dragon in sight. He descended somewhere in the Gladeveins, and Stardust tried to estimate what landmark tree was closest to the point where the Banescale had disappeared.
When she reached the point that had been her best guess, she was exhausted enough to fold her wings and tumble into a free-fall to reach the ground. She unfurled them again at the last moment to catch an updraft to gentle her landing, and then promptly collapsed in a heap anyway.
She flexed her hind paws, releasing the pearl she'd been gripping so tightly. The curl of her tail prevented it rolling away - she was well-practiced at that.
"Are you… okay? Little one?"
Stardust blinked her eyes open to see the delicate face of a veil leaning over her. Stardust squeaked a gasp, sitting up so fast that her pearl nearly did roll away. She fumbled to catch it, not being able to take her eyes away from the elegant dragon.
The
beautiful, starry, enchanting dragon, with scales that twinkled with starlight. She
had to be a star!
Poor little Stardust found herself tongue-tied. Before she could muster any words, another dragon approached. This one was a large, shaggy Gaoler with fur of the fuzzy purple-blues of distant smudged galaxies that shimmered with stars.
"
Two stars?!" Stardust squealed, dropping her pearl.
It rolled away this time, and she had to rush after it and pounce to catch it, which landed her at the Gaoler's feet. Stardust gazed up in awe, lost in the many repeated twinkling stars against cosmic fur in her fractal eyes.
Stardust was just a name, but this dragon really looked
made of it.
