Liked all of Show Case tab so far, will be back. Just needed to say, oh my goodness Alexandrite is so gorgeous!! I have a few mulflaunt breeding pairs but wow, the way they're dressed is incredible! The skin, apparel and the glitter suit the mulflaunt so well, and the use of the small apparel is so good too! They feel fabulously dressed but not cluttered as a lot of dragons do (and clutter is fine of course, just not my personal taste). I really like that all of your dragons just have at least a bit of lore in their grey text thingy and Alexandrite feels exactly like a Gemstone Sorcerer should.

Aaaand liked the rest of your dragons! That's all of them.

No quoting please!

Myristica: The colours are so gorgeous and work so well with the apparel and accent! I really like how the soft glow of the lantern fits in so perfectly with the Toxin colours and of course the colour of the belly. And of course the way the Mist Chime's mist turns golden and seems to wrap around the lantern. Chef's kiss.

Priya: So simple but so gorgeous! Those peacock colours are everything. The Runes blend into the accent so perfectly. I love how the shape of the clock hand resembles a peacock feather. Good old Irishim are perfect here, giving us those beautiful blue-green hues while leaving things uncluttered enough to let the accent shine.

Celesta: You just have such a good eye for colour. The accent works so well with the Mist base colour, with the Lavender Opal tying it together perfectly. And of course the Pixie Procession to tie in the blue reflections. The apparel is just so well-chosen!

Chandra: The first thing that caught my eye was the two intertwining mists floating in front of the moon. So stunning! They're so well put together, the whole outfit thing looks so cohesive and satisfying. The balance and use of glowy things despite conveying an obvious theme of shadow and darkness is so well done.

Requiem: Beautiful colour scheme! That Veined tert really pops and looks so good. I love the dark purplish-browns used here. The floating candles really are perfect, and add just enough silhouette modification. I find the dark goldenrod-ish colour of those roundhorns difficult to use, but the use of the shoulder guard here to pair them with is so genius. You can barely see the shoulder part of it, it blends into the dark belly and is hidden behind the Light Aura. And the less saturated yellows bleeding into brown/thistle in the wings helps that darker, dimmer golden colour look right at home. It's just the Veined that stands out starkly. Just incredibly well designed.

Carica: Ahhh! I'm so weak for these gorgeous Wind colours... The colours combined with the genes are so good. Bright, but not in an stark way. The more desaturated hues of Spring and the airy apparel you've chosen give a sense of gentleness to it. The vibrance of the Sunset Shimmer remains just enough to draw your eye. I love how soft the Runes look on her.

Zartarya: Totally different kind of vibrant! I love how stark she is. That deep black is stunning. The apparel layering is so satisfying, giving her that sense of fullness that she deserves as an embodiment of wealth.

Aure: How do you keep making such stunning Faes? Teach me your secrets. Just wow! Aure is so beautiful and unique-looking. Instead of the wind, the accent really evokes the sea with his colours, especially the blue-green of his wings. And matching the accent with the bandana and scarf is so smart. The bandana really makes the look somehow, even with the emblem in front of it.

Briar: I feel like most people would use this accent on red/brown dragons, but on a black dragons you really create an effect of somber elegance. And all the individual leaves pop so much more against that dark mane. The Crimson Branches matches the red leaves and fabric perfectly. You have a great eye for contrast--both when to use more of it and when to use less!

Happy late birthday! And thank you for doing this, it’s really fun.
I haven’t seen all your dragons yet, but I love the ones I have seen! You do a really good job at matching them with their apparel, familiar, and skin!

I liked all of the Show Case tab, plus Swiftwind and Perfuma

Swiftwind I was really excited to see a She-Ra fan dragon, because it’s one of my favorite shows! I really like the way you did the wings, it fits perfectly. the light aura really adds that extra magic feel, and I absolutely love his little Melog friend! He’s probably my favorite dragon of yours.

Perfuma you did a really great job with the apparel, all the flowers are perfect! She’s such a sweet character in the show, and you did a wonderful job making the dragon feel like her. I like the way you took a male Skydancer and gave her a Silhouette Scroll. I really like the designer’s trans headcanon!

Going to try to compliment at least one dragon per tab!

Show Case:

Othelia: Umber and Spruce are two of my favourite FR colours, and she wears them so well! I also always love your notes on where the names came from - I feel like it adds so much depth to the dragon's background even before I read any of the lore! In this case specifically, I especially liked her relationship with her familiar and the note on her familiar's name because I grew up in BC c:

Enigma: The fact that it's hard to tell where Thistle Koi ends and their primary/secondary colours begin is endlessly fascinating to me. I love how the bits of colour on the dragon blend so nicely with the greens in the scene, and the soft pale shades in the Dusty Sage and Antlers apparel just ties it all together really nicely. Gorgeous G1, and I remember seeing you hatch their mate Nikola after BSJ, so it's exciting that they're going to be a STP pair!

Center Grove:

Solvi: I can see she already has lots of love but it's well-deserved! I can't even articulate what you've done there with the wings and apparel, layering the skin with the Inkwell piece, but it's amazing and matches the familiar impeccably! I also love all of the lore and art in her bio - this is such a well-thought-out and well-loved dragon c:

Subspecies:

Minuialrin: Okay I might be biased because he reminds me of my own light rep, but what a glorious and stunning Coatl! I love Metals but I feel like I rarely see Metals Iridescent, and the way that the glowing eyes work with the Light fest apparel makes me want to take notes for dressing my own bright dragons. I didn't even realize he was a gen 1 but those were some gems well-spent!

Perseus: Obsessed with the way Blue Opal plays with the skin - I thought for a second he had something like Lapis going on there, but no! Just masterful layering again. His star badge is especially stunning, with the interplay of dark blues and gold that he has going on between his genes and apparel. I haven't had a chance to use Forgotten Child yet, but I think new standards have been set for the usage of that skin!

Shemyaza: Your lair is so full of unexpected triples that I'm honestly reconsidering my stance on them! That Maize poi/tox goes so well with the purples in the apparel and blends seamlessly with his skin. The art in his bio also has so much personality and expression, and together with the lore really let me get a sense of who this dragon is.

Tirleuthil: Oops is that Forgotten Child skin again my beloved? I'll have to run out and pick up a copy of it after this, you've used it so well and given me so many ideas! I honestly didn't recognize the Onyx set because it contrasts so interestingly with the yellows on the dragon. I adore that ghastcrown/earth emblem layering!

Limited Edition:

Samael: I didn't know the Furious Headdress could be used like that! I'm really learning so much from your lair - the way it gives him such an interesting expression from how it changes his eyes is so underrated. The fact that he has a Halloween birthday is just the perfect cherry on top.

Miscellaneous:

Roquiri: My jaw dropped when I saw Terracotta's accents and the Counsellor Rings. I'm also so intrigued by his lore, and I love that you trace back to G1 ancestors in a lot of these bios! Amazing dragon, and I hope he gets everything he wants forever.

Zelda: (I get restless if I don't compliment a Spiral every three paragraphs.) This is another dragon where I see the skin/apparel layering and go, "you can do that??" Her dark scelra paired with her custom hovertext line (forgot what these are called) brings up such interesting imagery, and I'd love to see more of her lore whenever you work on it!

Ianuaria: This dragon is so soothing to look at, which is fitting for their namesake. Yet again you got me with the pale colours and light green accents. I could look at them forever (and did, in fact, pause in writing this paragraph multiple times to just stare).

Ancients:

Vedia: I didn't know Maroon Constellation did that! And then I clicked through and the scene just adds something special to the overall vibe of the dragon. I didn't even see the birds at first, but they add such a nice subtle touch.

Fan Dragons:
Okay, gotta compliment the ones I recognize, which ended up being quite a few!

Caduceus: The Beetle over top of the Cottoncandy so that the pink ended up being just hair was a stroke of genius! This dragon just looks so much like him that I'm struggling to find something else to say that isn't dead obvious. That's him! There he is!

Mollymauk: I'm amazed that there isn't a skin on Molly here - it must be the layering of the horns with the jewelry that's giving me the impression that someone must have done high art on this dragon, which is perfectly fitting for him. Also his familiar being Nott is very funny.

Michael: Yes! Spiral Spiral! I love how the Ringlets layer over Toxin, and of course the hair is classic. I also think Unlikely Alliance is a very fun choice of familiar for plot reasons. c:

Helen: I love the Daze eyes and hat! And that accent feels like it was made for her character concept. I don't know how you managed to convey "funhouse mirror version of a realtor" in the form of a female Snapper so well, but you've done it!

Gerry: He's so pretty, which he deserves. And as others in his bio have commented, that Capsule with the ink effect is brilliant! Gertrude as a little spooky locket/mirror thing haunting him is also very perfect.

Oliver: I love this guy! Another "I didn't know you could do that" moment with the woodmask/rogue hood layering, giving him such a unique and spooky look. Also the "dust to dust" at the end of his bio is so evocative.

Got a lot of catching up to do, so while I love every star and compliment, I'm only going to respond to posts when I have something to actually say <3

These are just responses I have up to a certain point from recent participation.

@Potatoad Just saying what tabs you completed is 100% approved, no need to do the extra work of listing them all <3

@WhiteClover Thanks for putting in a vote on which familiar to give Hekate <3

I was indeed considering giving Hekate the Shadow Slink after I finished getting the Littlest Snapdragon Awakened (currently at the beginning of Companion). At the very least I like it pictured in her bio with her. I might alternate or I might decide she just doesn't look right without her littlest snapdragon when I finally switch it out lol. I appreciate the thoughts on cute vs spooky considerations <3

@ClockworkEclipse Your compliments are always so extra wonderful to read <3 I extra appreciate the one for DelariSylvae, especially since I was second-guessing the pixies. They suit the high fantasy style of Delari Sylvae but I was worried they made the dragon look a little too cluttered. I also was second-guessing the clawtips to a lesser extent and you highlighted both things and made me feel much better about using them after all :D

Love that you had all those songs favourited already - Scars of Time is my all time favourite instrumental soooo good <3

I actually have an old World of Warcraft guild intro of Delari Sylvae set to that song from over a decade ago lol. I never got the footage to really finish it before I got burned out on the game.

@Blazestorm22

At the point you finished all dragons there were actually 464, so you got credit for that instead of 462. Thanks for the compliments and stars <3

Mostly replying to say how much of a DELIGHT your Caduceus compliment was <3 I feel like there's no higher compliment to a fan dragon than for someone to recognize the character in them without even seeing the name!!! I am so tickled by that, I love it <3

(which it seems I hit that same chord with Helen too :D )

As for Molly, I honestly probably would've chosen a spiral with some shade of purple for the primary if I'd gotten him on purpose. When we were given gen 1 Obelisks though my 2nd partner pointed out that my matchy except for plague eyes ob is kinda Molly coloured so I just threw stuff on him that I had in my closet already and gave him multigaze lol. He gets a lot of compliments though for what's essentially a "closet cosplay" lol. Then again, I suppose the whole King thing could be captured by the Lion-like mane of an ob.

Either way, yesss Long may he reign!

@CosmicHusky Another vote for yes on the pixies for DelariSylvae <3 As I told someone earlier I almost didn't include them, but they are very on brand for the high fantasy nature vibes of Delari Sylvae :D thanks for helping cement my decision to have them. Also they're only 1 off XXY together with that Y being soap, it doesn't surprise me that they're the matchiest and I'm very happy with them :D

@Fehn

Please tell your cats I said hi and I love them (even if they had a chance of erasing your lovely words to my dragons).

I can't take credit for Rana's description or characterization as the dragon is based on my friend Gheron's character in our virtual tabletop game we've been playing for about 4 years now. The dragon was also made consulting Gher on breed and genes. That being said, thank you so much for the detailed compliment <3

Ulaigh: There's actually more mention of Ulaigh in Diem's profile but not a whole lot admittedly. I should remedy that. Ulaigh was created by our DM/one of my partners (with my feedback since they were meant to be the archfey npc my character is a dedicated warlock to). The archfey came first, the dragon followed.

Eloa: Rainsong Druid is something I splashed together when thinking over Eloa's vibes for eventual lore. I think she's going to be a druid focused on birds primarily, I haven't quite figured that out yet, but mostly I just threw druid together with the jungle coli venue "Rainsong Jungle" I'm glad she's not terribly hard on the eyes <3

Enigma: The dragon was triple basic nocturne with common eyes until I got ahold of them a few days ago, so that in part explains why they have no compliments yet <3 Even then, the previous owner who agreed to sell them to me might have gotten compliments they never recorded. The dragon came with 10 stars (counting my own).

Delari Sylvae: You explained it just fine, I love the way you explained it. I'd like to think that's definitely all part of the Delari Sylvae vibe high fantasy forest, magic and adventure <3

Luscinia: I definitely super appreciate when it's obvious someone is taking their time and thoroughly enjoying and saying such nice things about my massive lair. I definitely don't expect it, but I can't deny I love it :D

Also, happy belated birthday to you too!

Zuzu: /inserts shameless plug:

This list gets pinged whenever I polish up a bio with lore and layout. No pressure at all to sign up, but whenever I do get around to writing and finishing Zuzu's lore, this would be the list to join if you want a ping <3

Lisianthus: <3 I'll probably be replacing the familiar with something once I get it Awakened. I had a plan all lined up but I forget what it is now lol. I'll have to give that runic bat a try :D

Occultatio: One day my project breeders will give me their mate =_= one day… (they keep refusing to yield coal coal grapefruit and I'm being picky about banana being the same shade for both and not quite the exact shade I want anyway lol - on the other hand, as a result, the project breeders have more than made their expenses back lol).

Enki: Oh no, you figured me out, totally a fandragon of your cat. Fandragons for all the cats :D (that cracked me up lol)

Idalia: Phoenix form is now canon

Mnemosyne: Yay! Can't wait to get a look at what you do with your deity dragons :D and yeah, I actually inherited this old oak from one of my partners and bought that accent for Elaureth originally but ended up not liking it on them as much as without and that's when I realized it looked perfect on this skydancer with the newish blossoming sash :D

Alasgida: Thank you so much for your encouraging words about Gida, she's pretty much my oldest active OC and actually has a bunch of AUs all over the place with one of my partners in fiction - she was first created when I was in middle school! Then became more than a short story character something like 2 decades ago? Gida and I have definitely been through a lot together (including a discovery of our nonbinary natures and masculine sides where she ended up splitting off into a whole different character that started off as gender swapping with a transmutation potion to become Tiandath. These days the two are mostly separate character instead with one or the other often being some flavour of trans.

Reaper: :D not even my oldest dragon that's my trophy page, all of the dragons on it are hatching during the very first flight festivals on site and of matching Flight.

Auroras: I'll have to look all that up, probably won't play the game though. I'm terrible when it comes to games, no matter how fun they are. I really have time/focus for one game these days (not counting tabletop night) and that's this one with a minor backup in Guild Wars 2. Even BG3 was short lived and is now relegated to a fancy avatar maker lol. I will check it out though <3

As for the apparel piece with the floating eyes…I am shamelessly addicted to it. Bewitching bangles is definitely one of my all time favourite apparel pieces in the game and there need to be more recolours for sure.

Sateenkaari: You've outed us both age-wise since I have experienced this oh-so-ancient thing you speak of lol

Niamh: Thank you so much for blatantly reminding me how much I love that art piece by c4uni they took a pose and idea and just brought them to fantastic life. She's actually got my personal anti-nightmare sigil in her hands as a little magic spell (it's also pictured as a cutie mark on the custom skycat Razatharia made based on my design).

Belenos and co: I super appreciated all the awesome words and compliments and attention for sure and I'd apologize for so many show-stopping numbers but it wouldn't be sincere lol. Also Belenos is slowly working his way toward becoming an OC and already has a canon existence as an npc Ancient Amethyst dragon in the current campaign I play Diem in.

Vahtna: You're getting credit for compiled compliments by now since you weren't sentence counting ones that bypassed the minimum by at least a sentence. While I appreciate all compliments no matter the size, the point of that 3 sentence rule is mainly so I'm not giving out five tickets to "So pretty!" that I give to well-thought out compliments like yours <3

Caduceus: As mentioned earlier, thanks for prompting me to change the scene. I meant to do that a long time ago to the exact scene you suggested.

Mollymauk: I mentioned it to someone else who brought up my Mollymauk, but if I hadn't literally been given that particular obelisk as my gen 1 obelisk during their debut, I might not even have a Mollymauk yet either.

I tend to only make fan dragons when the perfect dragon or accent lands in my lap and I'm like YES (as with Caduceus, who is a fave of mine, but also got made because I saw this basic gen 1 in those colours and just knew beetle wings on a veilspun would make a fine Cad :D ).

It was actually one of my partners who pointed out in the wake of my disappointment for Molly's matchy colours but mismatched plague eyes, that he could make a decent Mollymauk. All that is to say that my Mollymauk is basically a closet cosplay of what I had on hand to make him colourful enough and if I'd gone after him on purpose I definitely would have gone with a purple primary and probably an M pose spiral. Then again there's something to be said for Obelisks having that "kingly" lion's mane thing going on…long may he reign indeed <3

I'm definitely up for further discussions on the rest of M9 which I'd like to have some day (among so many other fandragons that haven't yet landed an idea in my lap lol). Nott is definitely a mirror dragon (land pirhana/goblin) while Veth is a ridgeback (culture of "borrowing" + intense dislike of water lol). I definitely need a Caleb for the same reasons (love widowmauk).

@Wolfspeaker I am not sure if you were using "Please don't quote me though" as a figure of speech or literally asking me not to quote you in the compliment boxes lol. If the latter, may I list the compliments I like as anonymous without a link or would you prefer not to be quoted even anonymously? No worries either way, just want to be extra sure.

@ravbitleeks I really loved how you described Enigma's vibes with the koi as a luminescent cave moss/gemstone hidden in moss. It put words to what I really liked about them and what I was going for more than "koi=fish" lol.
Got a lot of catching up to do, so while I love every star and compliment, I'm only going to respond to posts when I have something to actually say <3

@Blazestorm22

@Fehn

@Wolfspeaker Sure, they're your words I'd prefer to respect your comfort levels. Would you mind locating your other post(s) after that to add a line about not being quoted in those as well (I just want to make good and sure I don't forget while I'm busy recording things <3 )
