If Katon-Ur gets more screen time, this part of him with commercialising heroism, becoming the poster boy etc needs to be addressed. Not only does it build up more to his character arc if you pick him and also gives a start if you don't pick him, but it also shows cracks in the spn and how it's not all sunshine and rainbows. If they ever go round to doin szn 2 i rly hope its not with a fresh cast bc i feel like other than invisigal n blazer (and perhaps flambae) the others didnt get as much chance to shine unfortunately 🤧🤧 and its like u said i rly hope they build more on not just phenomaman but also the rest of the z team🙂‍↕️

I looked at your comment about Phenomaman and Blonde Blazer's comic and oh my gosh you're so right and honestly the implications of a corporation taking advantage of Phenomaman is horrifying. It doesn't help that Phenomaman doesn't see himself as a person so he doesn't complain at all. It's very likely that he thinks it's okay because then he gets to be useful, he gets to be wanted. If at some point the story goes into the nitty gritty of the corporation this needs to be addressed. I need someone to be angry on Phenomaman's behalf because let's be honest, Phenomaman sure as heck won't.

it gets to the point where he reminds everyone (albeit innocently) that he is not a human but an alien and therefore doomed to be an outsider in not only his home planet but also earth💔💔

​ofc this cld be my imagination running wild bc there rly isnt much story regarding phenomaman in the actual game but the little glimpses we get though comedic can rly have darker undertones if you ponder upon it long enough

#me when the character is written for jokes and laughs but lowkey has a rly tragic situation bc of that#it gets rly meta bc u know hes a joke character n its always haha look at his goober he doesnt understand making love means SEX#but when u think ab it does that mean hes just been so focused on being a hero that he had no time to learn societal norms?? or did no one-#-bother to tell him bc he was completing his use as a hero n thats satisfactory#so when his character is seen as nth but a punchline it makes his (possible) sad situation all the more tragic#once again this might js be me wanting more out of a character adhoc never rly bothered to flesh out much#phenomaman#dispatch#sdn dispatch#katon ur

Okay so I read Sorcerer Supreme and... *sighs*

Aside from the issues with magic and how poorly Orlando understands the mantle, I'm going to focus on emotional bagage that I, as a Stephen stan, felt while reading it.

In short? Wanda took over Stephen's WHOLE life. His house, his dog, his mantle. The only ONE thing Orlando could have left was Clea sharing the Sanctum with Wanda, but he also cast her aside. I can't think of any other word to describe this mess but disrespectful. If there's any heavier, harsher word with the same meaning, please feel free to enlighten me 'cause I feel it's not enough. My disappointment is not enough.

I do wonder what would happen if the roles were reversed. If Wanda was the one gone, if Stephen took over the Emporium and took full responsibility over the Last Door. If he moved in to live with Darcy. If he wielded Chaos Magic. If Vision was tossed aside from his own home to live in other dimension, if Stephen was the one taking Wanda's hypothetical pet for walkies and antagonized her best friend.

Sure, Loki did the same. But Loki was the ANTAGONIST. They were supposed to put Stephen through misery before getting the mantle back. Wanda is not. She's considered a dear friend.

And a dear friend doesn't move to a house uninvited and does what she did. That's not how it works. Again, if the roles were reversed, SW fans would be out for blood.

I hate it. I never liked Orlando's writing and now I'm utterly done with him. I'll not be covering this book any longer. If you're interested, there's Clea, there's Wong, there are the sneks, there's Bats. I don't fucking care.

I wish I could bring better news since it's legit the last day of 2025 but next year is not promising at all. Not while Stephen is off to Asgard and separated from his loved ones.
