The standoff with agents happened on Jan.8, one day after an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good in south Minneapolis. Wooten’s refusal to comply with ICE was captured on video and posted to Facebook.
The agents tried everything to intimidate the guard.

Thinking about the Holmes story where a blind girl goes to him and is like “My fiancé is missing and he kept telling me the week leading up to his disappearance that he would always love me and come back for me,were anything to happen so I think he knew he was in trouble and I love him so much and I’m going to wait for him but I’d like to find him faster,ya know?” And Holmes figures out that it was this girl’s parents to scam her out of money she was owed from an estate which she gave to them because she was still living at home,which she wouldn’t be if she ever married,so her step father PRETENDED TO DATE HER for MONTHS to keep her from ever getting engaged to a real person and when Holmes finds out he confronts this man and this man is like “Well,you caught me! But it wasn’t illegal:) so:)” and Holmes is like “No,but it was sickening and cruel and if she had a brother or good male friend he should post you up and whip you but she doesn’t.” And the man is like “No,she doesn’t.” And does the Victorian version of sticking his tongue out and Holmes is like “Well,I guess I’ll do then!” And HE PULLS OUT HIS HUNTING WHIP.
I love animation history and one of the things that always baffled me was how did animators draw the cars in 101 Dalmatians before the advent of computer graphics?
Any rigid solid object is extremely challenging for 2D artists to animate because if one stray line isn’t kept perfectly in check, the object will seem to wobble and shift unnaturally.
Even as early as the mid 80’s Disney was using a technique where they would animate a 3D object and then apply a 2D filter to it. This practice could be applied to any solid object a character interacts with: from lanterns a character is holding, to a book (like in Atlantis), or in the most extreme cases Cybernetic parts (like in Treasure Planet).
But 101 Dalmatians was made WAY before the advent of this technology. So how did they do the Cruella car chase sequence at the end of the film?
The answer is so simple I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me sooner:
They just BUILT the models and painted them white with black outlines 🤣
That was the trick. They’re not actually 2D animated, they’re stop motion. They were physical models painted white and filmed on a white background. The black outlines become the lineart lines and they just xeroxed the frame onto an animation cel and painted it like any other 2D animated frame.
That’s how they did it! Isn’t that amazing? It’s such a simple low tech solution but it looks so cool in the final product.
i love that the american version of arthur and the minimoys was released by the weinstein company and they had to cut 9 minutes out of the movie because it was too fucked up and horny and raunchy. luc besson got to a point with this thing where harvey fucking weinstein looked at it and said “we need to cut around a lot of it, it’s too sexual”

Scott had prostate cancer, probably for a few years since by the time he publicly announced having it (May 2025) there were signs of the cancer spread to his hip and lower vertebrae. Rather than treating it immediately with surgery, drugs, or traditional cancer therapy; he took ivermectin and other de-worming medication. He was begging RFK jr and the P(os)otus to grant him access to an “experimental” cancer treatment in November. After being paralyzed and starting radiation therapy because the cancer had spread into his spine.
The man’s life is a prime example of how modern conservatism will rot your brain. Prostate cancer is one of the most survivable cancers in adults (especially men over the age of 60), and he died painfully over the course of years because he believed in grifters over doctors.
