it is frankly absurd how some of the most groundbreaking scientific discoveries and inventions of our age (especially medical) are being made by women and poc all over the globe and how little this is talked about.

in fact, I’d so far as to say that modernity was birthed by women’s inventions. there’s so much fundamentally useful shit that was either discovered or made by women of the 20th century. and it’s no coincidence these discoveries were made in the industrial age where women had more access to education and work than before. men have literally crippled human advancement with their prejudice to such an alarming degree that the consequences need to be studied. like imagine hating your own species so much you delay a thousand and more future reliefs and advancements in medicine and tech? and I’m still mad about it, because women have pioneered the advancement of language, too, both in literature (genre), code and culture. like it’s insane how much of what is good about the world and modernity was built by women.
