Have you guys noticed how much the internet/technology just does not listen to you anymore? I click “don’t show this artist” on Spotify and I get recommended a music video by them on the front page. I click “skip this update” on a pop up every time I open a file organization app and it’s right back there every time. I click unsubscribe on a newsletter and it keeps showing up in my inbox!! I click “delete my account” and the next time I open the website they suggest I “reactivate”.

Saw that and the ø for zero in drafting class and adopted it. It’s useful in denoting the difference between 1 and 7, or O and 0, which is important when your handwritten data needs to be exact and unmistakable. Is it part number GC339210, or is it GC33921O? You can’t convince me it’s useless or pretentious. My Es on the other hand, also from drafting, and everyone hates them. My last boss tyrannically tried to break me of my E and to make me give it a vertical line, so I maliciously complied to either backwards 3, or a vertical that extended out above and below. I won.

In Germany we learn the 7 with the little line in elementary school. It’s only when interacting with keyboards (on tablets, computers, smartphones, etc) that most kids learn that a seven can look differently
