Oh my Gd Ilya is perfectly written. So often in relationships where one character is autistic their partner loves them in spite of their autistic traits, not Ilya. Ilya loves Shane because of them, Ilya comforts Shane with no frustration, he accommodates Shane willingly without being asked. It’s wonderful as an autistic person to see a character be fully loved when so often autism is written as a burden.
