Can't tell you guys how excited I was to be brought back onto the final piece of the apocalyptic series. I had such an amazing time during the Tomb of the Black Horse, to colour such an immense story... I can tell you that the finale is just as beautiful, bittersweet and intense!

This illustration was made for my mythology class and is based on the Egyptian myth of Hathor's Rage. Here, Hathor is depicted as half the lioness Sekhmet and half as the cow Hathor. She is partially transformed due to being heavily drunk and drowsy from the river of red beer she frolics through. Meanwhile, Ra as the hawk watches from above. The setting sun represents the transition from Sekhmet, the violent "Eye of Ra" to the more peaceful cosmic cow, Hathor, thus highlighting the themes of duality and change.
