It is with a broken heart that we have to share the worst news imaginable with the NGU community. This weekend, the IOF bombed the neighborhood of Yahya Al-Habil and his family. Little Omar, Yahya’s 7-year-old brother who we have mentioned often, was martyred.
Both of Yahya’s brothers Khalil and Mohammed were being treated in different departments for the severe injuries they sustained from this attack, and did not get the chance to say goodbye to Omar. Their wounds were devastating, and both remain in very poor condition.
They now require ongoing, very expensive medical care, the sum of which for both their treatments is $10,000 usd. Donations have become stagnant and their situation is extremely desperate. Please help them survive and try to rebuild their lives.

Shrapnel damage from the bombardment that killed his baby brother caused injuries to Khalil’s liver and kidneys. These injuries have further deteriorated due to an inability to afford complete medical care. Both his kidneys and liver are now struggling. The untreated damage has progressed to the point that they are losing their ability to function.

I'm still processing a lot this year. I lost 2 very good friends tragically. My grandmother died. I had to return to a situation that has been monumentally challenging and distressing and my mental health is suffering for it. My birthday is next month and I feel like I am just as stuck in life as I was 10 years ago. I've been better, to say the very least.

i work at a bar and january is infamously a very dead time in the industry and along with my bar being closed for some of it, i am afraid i won't be able to make my car payment on top of paying for bills, new insurance, hiv medication, groceries, gas, and whatever else life has to throw at me. i rely on tips for around 70% of my paychecks and the hours and days im scheduled for the next month has me very anxious. i am asking for $700 just to be sure i can pay my car this month.

my friend, v, has been in an abusive situation and have managed to relocate (see: couch surfing, paid hostels, cheap hotels). the bathroom would be locked at all times, their stuff was thrown out, their cat was left to wander around etc etc
i have been fostering their cat, and have been helping them with groceries.
their parents cut them off as well recently and it has been dire for them. they are doing freelance but it is not helping much, and they have applied to multiple places and hoping to hear from them soon

what it will help in is : neutering the cat, feeding her owner for a few days, help them commute to places, keep the cat fed too!
