fuckyeahchinesefashion:

OP: I started as a blogger specializing in making fazan发簪(chinese hairpins) for cosplay. Somehow, I discovered that small hidden mechanisms could be added to the hairpins to give them self-defense functions. Then I figured hairpins could also be designed to resemble flying needles(feizhen飞针) — worn in the hair normally, but ready to be taken off and used as hidden weapons whenever needed. Before I knew it, I had ventured into making anqi暗器(concealed weapons in wuxia culture). Now, take a look at my Rainstorm of Pear Blossom Needles/Bao Yu Li Hua Zhen暴雨梨花针(famous concealed weapon used by the Tang Clan in wuxia culture),Sleeve Arrow/Xiu Jian袖箭(concealed arrow hidden in the sleeve),Hidden Weapon Umbrella/An Qi San暗器伞,and Thousand-Mechanism Sword Case/Qian Ji Jian Xia千机剑匣 (big sword case which xiake can carry on their back).
