Somewhat related to that but there is another disturbing trend from cishet men where they are disproportionately offended that women do not trust them immediately and implicitly. Yes, racism can play a factor in these sorts of interactions but the men who complain about it the loudest are white guys who are offended women who are total strangers do not want to be alone with them at night. So offended by the idea that someone could view them as a possible threat that they become a real threat. They think their hurt feelings are more important than a woman’s safety. They think a stranger in an elevator inching away from them is a scathing personal insult. Eugh.

it is hilarious to me that cishet men have yet to notice the ‘best friend cockblocking her friend you’re chatting up in a public place’ thing is planned, consensual on the part of the girl you’re uncomfortably hitting on and not a result of the bestie being jealous her friend is getting more male attention. they’re completely oblivious to the hostage eyes and silent nod to someone in the background because they’re too busy telling that poor girl about what a bitch their ex was.

Sometimes I hyperfocus so hard on something, I forget I’m a person until someone interacts with me. I feel like some wild animal seeing a human being for the first time. I’m like “oh yeah I’m supposed to speak and stuff”

Me: *doing something for hours on end without stopping*

Someone: Hey, are you there? I was just wondering if you’d like to-

a childs most likely abuser is their family or a family friend so no i dont think isolating children to only their families, including online, will protect them ever.

It’s epilepsy awareness month and I’m seeing people tagging stuff incorrectly so a reminder: the epilepsy tag is a tag for the epilepsy community to talk about having epilepsy. You are endangering people by tagging your videos and gifs that contain flashing lights with epilepsy. Also, anything with the word epilepsy in it appears in the tag search so please also avoid tags like epilepsy warning. Just tag with flashing lights.

One absolutely bizarre thing I’ve seen people with children say to childfree people is “If you wait until you’re ‘ready’, you will never have kids.” Like, yeah. I think that’s better than having kids and not being able to care for them, mentally, emotionally, physically, financially. How is never having children worse than having kids you can’t take care of? One affects you and only you and the other brings in an innocent party?

I like when delivery people ask you to sign their tiny shitty screen with your finger like alright sure we can do some free drawing I guess. Some random strokes that evoke the essence of a signature. Looking me dead in the eyes while I play fruit ninja on this blank screen. Why not.
