It's actually kind of striking how rapidly the ads on ostensibly respectable platforms have changed in the last 12–18 months. I've been getting penis enlargement scams and pyramid schemes that don't even bother to pretend to be otherwise on YouTube – it's like every platform is now running the kinds of ads that even three years ago would have been restricted to porn sites, and I'm not gonna lie, the fact that everyone seems to be getting desperate all at once ain't an encouraging sign!

Something I learned both from my bisexual fiancé and from being butch and bigender is that in terms of greeting transmascs with a friendly term you really cannot go wrong with "boss". This is true of cis men as well I have noticed but as a masc queer "boss" is peak.

Very explicitly, in the video, the regular police straight up lie to the couple, telling them they will go to jail for harboring a fugitive if they dont hand the doordasher over, and that it doesnt matter if ice has a warrant for her arrest. NEITHER OF THESE THINGS ARE TRUE. You CANNOT be harboring a fugitive if the person you are haboring doesnt have a warrant out for their arrest! The warrant is what makes them a fugitive!
If ice wants access to someone on your property, do NOT hand them over unless you are shown a warrant signed by a judge! Make as much noise as you can to attract bystanders - it was the fact that a crowd gathered and started yelling at them that made ice leave in the video. And DO NOT expect the regular police to help you - they are just another arm of the state and will only do or say whatever they think is necessary to make you comply.
And make sure you film everything so you have evidence of what really happened if ice tries to enter your property illegally.

the fact that generative A.I. has created a completely new fundamental doubt in reality (checking to see if an artwork we see is manmade or not) and doubt in the instinct of enjoying art is unforgivable. its sickeningly tragic, and i mean it. I realised while making it that the pattern on the sock isn't always symmetrical or identical, so I had to be a little creative. But I managed to get it pretty close, I think!

Keep in mind the caption says 1000-1200 CE, not BCE. So these are closer to us than they are to Ancient Egypt.

12th century sock possibly found in Fustat, Egypt.
The knitter of this sock started work at the toe and then worked up towards the leg. The heel was made last and then attached to loops formed while knitting the leg. This ingenious practice allowed the heel to be replaced when it wore out without the necessity of making new socks. The sock is thought to have been made in India because it was found with other materials exported from India and sold in the Egyptian market.
Indigo dyes most likely color the two rich blue cotton yarns used to make the pattern on the socks. The yarn would have been dipped into indigo dye repeatedly until the desired shade was achieved.
