Remove a co-host from your listing

It’s easy to make changes to your team. Hosts and full-access co-hosts can remove co-hosts on a listing.

If you’d like to keep a co-host on your listing, but change what they can access or manage, you can do so by changing a co-host’s permissions.

Remove a co-host from a listing

Remove a co-host from a listing on desktop

  1. Click Listings and select the listing you want to edit
  2. Under Listing editor, click Co-hosts
  3. Select the co-host you'd like to remove
  4. Click Remove co-host
  5. Add an optional note for the co-host and then click Yes, remove

The primary host role may need to be reassigned

If the removed co-host was assigned to be the primary host, then either the listing owner or another eligible full-access co-host must be selected to take their place. If there aren't any full-access co-hosts remaining, the listing owner becomes the new primary host by default.

What happens after a co-host is removed

Once you remove a co-host, they won’t be able do the following:

  • Update the listing
  • Accept or decline booking inquiries
  • View the calendar
  • Manage dates and times
  • Message guests before, during, and after their experience
  • Receive co-host payouts for any bookings that start after they’re removed (homes listings only)

You’re still responsible for current or future requests, including those accepted by the co-host. Any reimbursement requests for damages submitted or being managed on your behalf by a full-access co-host will be automatically assigned to you.
