current obsession is this dude on tiktok who works at a pizza shop and films all his videos as if they were david lynch outtakes
Sometimes you need a minute away from it all…
Hi! I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but it's worth a go 😅 I found this figure of Britannia today whilst 2nd hand shopping (a terrible shame I know!) And wondered if you knew anything about it? I haven't been able to find any photos or information so far 😓 Regardless, she's a really lovely and detailed figure and I cant wait to display her!
*creaking noises as blog comes back to life*
Sorry about the late reply! And strictly speaking I can’t say for 100% on behalf of the current management of the peeps in charge of the BUCK Con, but it does look pretty spot on as official con merch, possibly from the charity auction! We can’t cast aspersions on whom took it to a charity shop, but glad to see it’s in capable hands/hooves (very good) and will get many years of love and handed down through generations to come!
Also Happy Holidays Everyone!
*recedes back into long slumber*
((Mod note: Weeeeee’re baaaaaack! Sorry for the long delay, real life kinda… happened. Main artist suddenly had work, which got REALLY BUSY! More on this in a bit!))
Well, that’s the Captain’s Computer all up-to-date! Hopefully I won’t get so many messages asking how to do the most basic of things… CC, you’re going to save me so much hassle!
((Mod notes: So! After a bit of a rather long delay, we’re back! As mentioned, the artist suddenly had a very busy job right around when our regular updates stopped coming. Real life has that annoying habit of just, well, happening sometimes :p
Still, life is considerably less busy, for now! Business in that regard will pick up again later, but for the next few months we have a bit more free time! That being the case, we will shortly be opening for commissioned updates. Basically, we’ll be letting you guys pay to have Paper Clip come sort your problems - by which we mean, for a nominal fee, you can have us do a simple, one or two panel update, where we have Paper Clip come and attend to your computer woes. No job too great or too small! (No refunds if you get the harsh side of her tongue though, that’s part of who she is!)
Details to follow shortly - we’ll post them up separately so you can know exactly what you’re letting yourself in for ;)
~Sketchy ))
Well, it took a long long time, but hopefully now you’ve all got a little bit of closure ;)
Is this the last you’re going to see of Brit, you might ask? Probably not - but if you want to keep up with Paper Clip (and by extension, catch a glimpse of Brit and her cohorts now and again), you’ll want to follow the main Ask Paper Clip blog where this is reblogged from!
That’s it for now from us here on Ask Brit - we may post again occasionally here and there when Brit pops up elsewhere, of course. Thanks again for sticking with us, folks :)
~Sketchy.
Sounds like the Captain has had quite the adventure! …I didn’t need to know about our colleagues in the Night Guard’s appetite for seafood though… blugh!
MOD: Hey everyone, we’re back! Thanks for your patience while we’ve been working through this. We wanted to make sure we did this justice as best we could - we know there are plenty of you who were wondering how that whole thing panned out.
Also, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind y’all, we have a Patreon! You can support our works there by becoming a patron, and in return you’ll get sneak peeks and behind the scenes info made available exclusively first on Patreon and nowhere else, for this comic and the other projects I’m involved in! It’s a pretty sweet deal, and it helps us pay the bills ;)
And now you all know what happened… it was quite the adventure. We might tell this story in more detail, some day…
(Next day reblog - in case anyone missed it yesterday)

It’s time to set you loose on those that need you, CC…
MOD NOTE: Hey everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying these longer comic style posts and the development we’re giving PC! I’d like to draw your attention to something I’ve set up recently, for those of you wanting to show your appreciation.
As you may know, Paper Clip is basically a two-person labour of love. It’s just me and my fiancée for the most part, with me doing the story and her doing the art. Neither of us gets paid for doing it - nor do I get paid for writing the scripts I do for the other comics I write.I’d like to change that, but unless I get hired some time soon by a big name, that’s not gonna change much. That’s where you guys come in. We’ve set up a Patreon where you can show your support. We’ve got some perks available as well, so you won’t be giving your money to us for nothing.
It can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/Robot_Pony_Comics
You don’t have to sign up of course: PC will always be free to view and enjoy. But the support would be greatly appreciated!
Well well, looks like the good IT Chief is going to make life a little less frustrating…
Hmm, it’s time to call on one of my more… interesting customers…
HOLY COW, AN UPDATE!?!?
Well… yes, and no. Some of you maybe already knew that for a while some of us have been working on our own side projects and such, and we did say some time ago that, maybe, one day we’d come back to Brit.
And, here we are. This is not exactly a return, but it’s worth knowing that half of the original art/script team for Ask brit are working on this - and, for this particular script, the original three of us that used to put all of our time and energy into Britty got back together to write the script for this forthcoming little exchange.
We hope you enjoy what’s to come as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together for you!
(And while you’re about it, go follow Paper Clip - and pester her with your questions! Just… don’t say you weren’t forewarned about possible snark.)
(Oh and this probably won’t be the last you’ll see of our Britty. She’ll no doubt show up again, sooner or later!)

Hey guys. Been a while, hasn’t it?
I’m not going to beat about the bush here, because I’m sure most of you already know what this post is about, and what I’m going to say, so I’m just going to go ahead and say it.
We’re on hiatus, long-term.
There are multiple reasons for this, though chief among them would be that, collectively, the team as a whole doesn’t have the time, energy, or motivation to keep going any more.
I won’t prattle on about the various issues we’ve faced. The folks that have followed us closely over the years know what we’ve faced, and know how difficult it’s been.
Are we giving up? Well, no… not entirely. But, well, we’re not going to be putting up any new content here any time soon. In time, we might try something new. But for now, we’re letting things settle. Perhaps the occasional little bit here and there, if something comes up, but for the time being, we’re letting things rest.
So with that said, I’d like to offer our most heartfelt thanks to you, the readers. Without your constant support, admiration, compliments, critiques, encouragement, and so on, we wouldn’t have ever come as far as we did, or created as compelling a story as we had here. We love all of you for sticking by us all this time and keeping us going as long as you all did.
If there’s one last thing to add, it’s that we’re all still around and active, one way or another, in our own ways. You’ve not seen the last of us yet… and we may toss up a few interesting bits and pieces here in months to come, if they’re related to our favourite red-headed unicorn.
That’s it, more or less though. Thank you all for reading, and keep an eye out.
With all of our thanks,
(~Sketchy, on behalf of)

BUCK 2016 to be held at EventCity, Manchester with special guest Daniel Ingram!
A big hello to everyone from BUCK Towers! We’ve now had three hugely successful conventions in England, including the Summer Sun Celebration, one of the biggest brony music events on the calendar.
We’re proud to announce our fourth convention to be held on the 9th and 10th of April 2016 at EventCity, Manchester!
Not only that, but attending as special guest will be composer Daniel Ingram, best known for writing our favourite songs from My Little Pony, but also his work on countless other television shows.
Daniel will be sharing not only his musical talents, but his insights on musical production and the industry – it’s the perfect time for everyone interested in music to come along and join in!
We’ve got a history of seeking out cool venues to host our parties at, including world famous concert halls, and enormous renovated train stations. This year, at EventCity, we’ve got a ‘magic box’ on Phoenix Way, to be filled with as much madness as we can muster.
It’s right next door to the Trafford Centre (the largest shopping centre in the UK), hotels, train links, and Manchester International Airport.
Stay tuned for more information from us, including ticket availability, panels, events, and other activities we’re setting up to make BUCK 2016 the most memorable yet.
Catch us on our website or at facebook for the latest details!
BUCK Towers over and out!
((Mods: Umm… I guess that means the polls are closed.
Don’t worry, folks, we’re sure that Brit didn’t just use police brutality in an effort to obstruct the diplomatic process.
You know changelings, after all. ask-paradigm was probably going in and out of the voting booth disguised as different ponies. It’s one pony, one vote, dammit!))
((Mods: Sorry we’re a little late to the party, chaps and chapesses. We’ve been a little busy at the polling booths/ out earning a wage to be able to make sure we do our civic duty as regards to posting pony pictures on tumblr.
Still, here we are, and with 3 Hours Until Polling Stations Close on the 2015 UK General Election we urge all our British readership who haven’t already done so to go out and cast their vote!
Now Britannia here is impartial on the matter (Being an Equestrian citizen and therefore not eligible to vote, herself) but she encourages those that can to go out and do their democratic duty! (or else the changelings win)
Of course participating in such a thing is not always up everyone’s street and deciding whose box you’d be willing to tick can be rather a daunting (or simply off-putting) prospect for many. If you find yourself in such a position at this late stage then here is a wonderful appeal from Mr. brainedbysaucepans about how no matter who you vote for, the important thing is to make your voice heard!
((Mods: Look what turned up during our impromptu hiatus! Excellent job on all of these, dennybutt-art, particularly that angry little madam up top. ))Three commissions I've been working on for the past few days. :D They’re all done now so hopefully I can now dedicate most of my time to Klausen \^0^/ Commissions will probably open again in a few weeks, keep an eye out for my dA Journals for updates.
