AVRDUDE AVR programmer
From DP
AVRDude is software for programming ATmel AVR Microcontrollers. It is an open-source utility that can download, upload, or manipulate the flash, EEPROM, and fuses of AVR microcontrollers using the in-system programming technique (ISP). AVRDude is the programming component in a number of AVR related packages such as WinAVR and the Arduino development environment.
The Bus Pirate can be used with AVRDude to program AVRs. AVRDude version 5.8 and later includes support for the Bus Pirate. Alternatively there is firmware for the Bus Pirate that allows it to be a clone of the STK500 v2 programmer.
