Navigation Updates:

  • Added a new menu item, "Brands & Logos," under the "About" section in config/_default/menus.en.yaml. This links to the newly created branding page.

Branding Guidelines Page:

  • Created a new page, content/en/about/branding.md, detailing the InnerSource Commons Foundation branding guidelines. This includes sections on logo variations and usage, color palette, typography, trademarks, and legal information.

A few items are still pending:

  • Check whether the logo and icon images are correct
  • Ensure the ™ or ® symbols are positioned correctly
(The original images can be found in the .pptx file. If edits are needed, please use “Save as Picture” and export as both PNG and SVG.)
  • Legal review of the brand
  • Confirm all items related to trademark registration (ideally list everything explicitly)

As @rrrutledge mentioned in the #472

We should write something like this

The InnerSource logo is a swirling, white-and-black vortex with the front part in the rough shape of the letter "I" (for InnerSource).
It is licensed under <INSERT LICENSE HERE>, which means that you can modify and reuse it for your purposes.
An easy way to modify the logo is to replace the white parts of the vortex with a color scheme that is specific to your company or event.
Just open the logo in a standard paint program and use the color fill feature to dump your desired color into the white sections.
