The Netflix Analytics Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of Netflix content, including summary views for high-level insights and detailed content records for in-depth analysis. The dashboard is divided into three main sections: Overview, Content Demographics, and Performance Analysis.
- Interactive Filters: Filter data by year, genre, type, region, and rating.
- Dynamic Visuals: Use bar charts, line charts, pie charts, and maps to present data.
- Drill-Down Capabilities: Drill down into specific data points for detailed analysis.
- Export Options: Export data and visuals for reporting purposes.
The data for this project is sourced from an Excel file containing Netflix content information. The data includes fields such as title, type, genre, rating, release year, duration, and viewer engagement metrics.
- Load Data: Load the Excel data into Power BI.
- Clean Data: Remove unnecessary columns and set the correct data types.
- Create Calculations: Add calculated columns and measures for analysis.
The dashboard is divided into three main sections:
- Total Content: Display the total number of movies and TV shows.
- Content Over Time: Visualize the total number of movies and TV shows added over the years.
- Content Breakdown: Present a breakdown of total content by genre and type.
- Regional Comparison: Compare total content between different regions.
- Geographical Distribution: Show the distribution of content by country and language.
- Content Ratio: Present the ratio of movies to TV shows.
- Genre and Rating Distribution: Visualize the distribution of content across different genres and ratings.
- Content Count: Show the total number of content within each genre and rating category.
- Engagement Correlation: Present the correlation between content ratings and viewer engagement metrics.
- Engagement Comparison: Compare viewer engagement across different genres for both movies and TV shows.
- Rating Correlation: Present how content ratings correlate with viewer engagement for content in each genre.
