<!--more--> command image sizes

I have created my first post. The file consists of simple markdown with one image.

I have added a , but it is not working.

Also the code for the image shows the correct size in preview, but not in the post.

I have not changed any of the settings or changed the default template, etc.

I am new to blogging platforms so any help would be gratefully received.

The CSS of your theme has the following:

.page-content img, {
  width: 100%
}

That overrides width and height on the image tag. I would recommend removing width: 100% especially since there’s a max-width as well.

Thank you, but going to Design then Edit CSS, the page that opens is blank for CSS (there is no CSS code displayed at all. Please see the screenshot.

That’s the page for your custom CSS, not the page for your theme’s CSS, which is where this is coming from. You’ll have to edit your theme’s templates and CSS.

Thank you for the response, but I cannot see where I can find this on the page to edit the theme’s templates and CSS.

Could you point me to where I can find this?

You’ll need to click Edit Themes here, click on the theme, and find the CSS file from your theme.

On the Deisgn page there is nothing which matches the screenshot you have provided. Attached is a screenshot of what I am seeing when I go to Design. There is no option to “Edit Themes”

(I have also seen ℹ️ Custom themes).

Custom themes aren’t included in the $1/month Micro.one subscription, which is why things might look a little different for you. To access custom themes and other features, you’ll need to upgrade to the $5/month Micro.blog subscription.
