    The Simple Medical Imaging Library Interface (SMILI), pronounced 'smilie', is an open-source, light-weight and easy-to-use medical imaging viewer and library for all major operating systems. The main sMILX application features for viewing n-D images, vector images, DICOMs, anonymizing, shape analysis and models/surfaces with easy drag and drop functions. It also features a number of standard processing algorithms for smoothing, thresholding, masking etc. images and models, both with graphical user interfaces and/or via the command-line. The applications are all built out of a uniform user-interface framework that provides a very high level (Qt) interface to powerful image processing and scientific visualisation algorithms from the Insight Toolkit (ITK) and Visualisation Toolkit (VTK).     SecurePose, an open-source software, automates face blurring, human movement kinematics extraction and leg Dystonia diagnosis. The software provides clinical-grade face blurring with minimal manual effort. It was validated on videos recorded in clinical settings. The tool employs pose estimation to track and uniquely identify individuals, recognize patients, perform effective face blurring, and identify leg dystonia. SecurePose surpassed six existing methods in automated face detection and blurring and outperformed human performance in leg dystonia identification. This validation establishes its effectiveness and usability in clinically recorded gait videos for face blurring and kinematics extraction.     Optical-packet node transceiver frequency allocation

    In an optical network scenario which consists of multiple nodes (whiteboxes) at its edges and ROADMs in-between, the coherent transceiver average laser configuration time is improved. The process is evaluated according to a testbed setup. This is facilitated in the appropriate lab equipment (or via simulation when required). For that purpose, a software agent (Netconf server) residing at the whiteboxes, is developed receiving input from the Software-Defined Networking (SDN) packet controller (PacketCTL - a Netconf client). Then, configuration of the local transceiver laser frequencies of the controlled pluggable devices takes place, for facilitating the connectivity in-between the ROADM network. Also, the agent records and reports back telemetry data (feedback) which is used by the PacketCTL's resource-allocating mechanism to improve efficiency within the network topology.

Available oral commands are generated from a house description file in XML format. The oral commands have to be trained for a specific users.     The program will convert to text an image, such as a photo , with the purpose of analyzing it to spot intelligible words. Use the program with photos of clouds, sea, soil, vegetation or any other photo of natural or man-made semi-homogeneous configuration, to reveal the hidden universal-philosophical messages of the image. You can also use it on photos of people or art pieces to have a psychological insight of the person portrayed or of the image author. The resulting text will be a long string of mostly repeating characters but, every so often, you will notice an intelligible word, either spelled normally or with repeated letters, missing letters or anagrammed letters.
