Open Source Python DNS Software for Linux

theHarvester is a very simple to use, yet powerful and effective tool designed to be used in the early stages of a penetration test or red team engagement. Use it for open source intelligence (OSINT) gathering to help determine a company's external threat landscape on the internet. The tool gathers emails, names, subdomains, IPs and URLs using multiple public data sources.

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. It includes modules for many different purposes. Twisted supports all major system event loops, select (all platforms), poll (most POSIX platforms), epoll (Linux), kqueue (FreeBSD, macOS), IOCP (Windows), and various GUI event loops (GTK+2/3, Qt, wxWidgets). Third-party reactors can plug into Twisted, and provide support for additional event loops.

This project is to enhance the python DNS library initially written by Guido van Rossum, then extended by Anthony Baxter, Michael Ströder and others.

KeexyBox allows you to do parental control, block ads, limit telemetry, and browse the Internet anonymously from your home network without installing any software on your devices. It also can be used to create a public wireless access point with the captive portal. It is a software program which requires a Raspberry PI box and which is installed on Raspbian. It constitutes a cut-off point between your devices (computers, tablets, smartphones, etc.) and your router or Internet box. KeexyBox acts as a default gateway and DNS server for the devices in your home network. It thus intercepts all connections to the Internet to carry out website filtering or to activate browsing via the Tor anonymity network according to connection profiles which you have configured.

Lists subdomains of given domain and resolve the real IP of website. -cfresolver.py is basic version only controls 10 popular subdomains. -cfresolver-extented.py controls 150 popular subdomains. You can also generate subdomains with CFR Subdomain Generator.exe

DDnsEditor will be a GUI dynamic DNS (rfc2136) zone editor, similar in functionality to nsupdate. DDnsEditor uses TSIG authentication for all communication with the DNS server. It does not edit on-disk zone files.

DNS Metasync helps DNS administrators to deploy a DNS cluster where slaves servers' zones are kept in sync with the master: adding or deleting a zone in the master reflects the change on the whole umbrella in an automated fashion

DNSsec key management add-on to ISC bind 9.9.x for zones with auto-dnssec maintain; inline-signing yes; .Creates and deletes keys, submits delegation signer (DS) resource records or public DNSKEYs to parent. Zones may be local, public or reverse (IP4 or IP6). Initial support for joker.com (public) and ripe.net (reverse).

Domain analyzer is a security analysis tool which automatically discovers and reports information about the given domain. Its main purpose is to analyze domains in an unattended way.

DynServ is to be a Dynamic DNS Server simular to the dyndns website. Ez-ipupdate is the planned update client.
