basE91 is an advanced method for encoding binary data as ASCII characters. It is similar to UUencode or base64, but is more efficient. The overhead produced by basE91 depends on the input data. It amounts at most to 23% and can range down to 14%.

TraceMAC is a Windows/Linux command-line tool that allows you to trace a specific MAC address thru Cisco switches. It works by connecting to a switch using SSH, SNMP, Telnet, HTTP or HTTPS and do some "show commands" and later process the output, this will happen recursively until it finds the switch where that MAC address (PC/Printer/Etc) is directly connected. Note: It works with Cisco switches only and you must have CDP enabled at least on trunks/links between switches! Is tested with Cisco switches: Catalyst: 2960,3560,3750,4948,6509,9200,9300,9500 (All protocols) Nexus: C9332C, 93180YC-EX (NX-OS SSH) Express 500 (HTTP) FYI: It uses Nbtscan.exe (NetBIOS) as a alternative method to discover the mac address of a host and now seems that it is considered a malware. Anyway it is just a simple network tool that can scan the network similar to NMAP or Angry IP Scanner, etc...

LMDBG is a set of small utilities for collecting and analysing logs of malloc(3), calloc(3), realloc(3), memalign(3), posix_memalign(3) and free(3) functions. LMDBG generates full stacktraces and separates the logging process from analysis, thus allowing analysis of application on per-module basis. Simple but powerful tools for analysis are also provided.

AwkStatistics is a script which is used to generate statistical data for csv data by using awk. It takes two columns from the input file, one is used to identify the row(option -i) and the other one is the column where the values are taken from (option -v). The script was designed for performance engineers to be able to analyze CSV-Data on the fly and have a good possibility to automate the analysis process.

Cisco sanitizing configuration tool. It removes passwords, keys, certs and other sensitive data from text config files. Use this tool to sanitize extracted configurations files before you send them to audit (Ex: TAC) 'show tech-support' is good, but sometimes you need to remove more sensitive data from the configurations This tool will scan a folder with all its sub-folders and sanitize every file from that tree. But it will never modify the source files, instead it will create another folder with sanitized files. Info: The result will be another folder next to the source called "<configurations folder>_sanitized" To change the file search filter modify "SET FILTER=" in script file To add/modify/remove sanitizer syntax edit the awk file inside bin folder Usage: cisco-config-sanitizer.bat "<configurations folder>" If there are sensitive data still leaking after sanitizing, please let me know. Right now it does fit my needs, but may or may not yours ;)

Color Subversion is a simple wrap on svn output, coloring each line regarding it's file status.

This command-line tool will help people who want to compare 2 csv-like files, and get a detailed report on which rows and fields differ between both files. An awk-based version and Perl Version is currently available.

The bfi-toolkit is a set of scripts that converts Cobol Copybooks to XML. Uses sed and awk. Conversion allows for transformation of the XML produced, to create useful bits of code using XSLT (Cobol programs, copybook, DB tables etc.)

gdeptrace sorts an input dependancy list or table and prints it, and can do other actions. It's default operation is to act like tsort (1) except that it sorts by pure pkg / make dependancy (tsort sorts by grapical topology: see notes about differences). dpkglist.awk is a command-line tool for querying available packages on ubuntu and debian systems. It overlaps with the standard apt-cache utility, but, written in simple awk, it is easily extensible, and makes it easy to write one-line scripts.
