Absolute Blue is a 2D and 3D horizontal-scrolling shooter game made by Intermediaware in 2005 for Windows.

Story[edit | edit source]

In this game, you are in role of a pilot who must pilot spaceship built to find and collect three crystals that are key to save humanity from destruction by alien armada led by Brain who travel through space where they destroy everything along their path while leaving debris and terror behind. Once all three crystals are found, pilot is sent to volcanic planet Matron that is homeworld of Brain to destroy Brain and central collective of Brain's alien armada.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Absolute Blue is a single player game that contains 60 levels divided into 12 missions, 31 types of enemies, 4 bosses including 3 mini-bosses, 6 Power-Ups, 3 primary weapons, and 2 Power-Downs. Unlike in most horizontal-scrolling shooters, Absolute Blue offers a chance to flight in opposite direction of the one you would normally face, and instructions on how to play game are shown during gameplay rather than game having Help section to teach you.
