Action Ball 2 is a 3D breakout game made by Rionix and Alawar Entertainment in 2008 for Windows. Action Ball 2 is sequel to Action Ball Deluxe and is the second game in the Action Ball series.

Story[edit | edit source]
In this game, you are in role of Captain Livsey who is war veteran against evil Robot Empire who is now on quest to rescue his mechanical cat that is kidnapped by Robot Empire in revenge for foiling their plans in events of previous game by travelling to planet Mars to rescue his beloved pet and destroy Robot Empire once and for all.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Action Ball 2 is a single player game where task is to destroy the beautiful and creative arrangements of bricks on the playfield in each level in order to proceed. Action Ball 2 features 78 levels, 32 Power-Ups, 9 bonus levels, and 9 boss levels. Unlike most breakout games, Action Ball 2 features different kind of gameplay: Robots patrol around the playfield of level to make passing it more challenging, and destroying 25 of them will award you with extra life. There are also bonus levels where you must destroy all bricks and robots without allowing any of them to reach bottom of the playfield, and boss battles where you must defeat boss by hitting it several times until their health is completely drained. Action Ball 2 also features chance to occasionally get single upgrade point which you can spend on permanently obtaining improvements for your bat like stronger weapons and bonuses each time you score certain amount of points.
