Library and command line tools for XZ and LZMA compressed files

RHash (Recursive Hasher) is a console utility for computing and verifying hash sums of files. It supports CRC32, CRC32C, MD4, MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512, SHA3, AICH, ED2K, DC++ TTH, BTIH, Tiger, GOST R 34.11-2012, RIPEMD-160, HAS-160, EDON-R, and Whirlpool.

Zstandard is a fast compression algorithm, providing high compression ratios. It also offers a special mode for small data, called dictionary compression. The reference library offers a very wide range of speed / compression trade-off, and is backed by an extremely fast decoder (see benchmarks below). Zstandard library is provided as open source software using a BSD license. Its format is stable and published as IETF RFC 8478. The negative compression levels, specified with --fast=#, offer faster compression and decompression speed in exchange for some loss in compression ratio compared to level 1, as seen in the table above. Zstd can trade compression speed for stronger compression ratios. It is configurable by small increment. Decompression speed is preserved and remain roughly the same at all settings, a property shared by most LZ compression algorithms, such as zlib or lzma.

FileVerifier++ is a Windows utility for calculating hashes using a number of algorithms including CRC32, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256/224/384/512, WHIRLPOOL, and RIPEMD-128/160/256/320. Supported hash file formats include MD5SUM .MD5, SFV, BSD CKSUM, and others.

ArpON (ARP handler inspection) is a Host-based solution that make the ARP standardized protocol secure in order to avoid the Man In The Middle (MITM) attack through the ARP spoofing, ARP cache poisoning or ARP poison routing attack.

JDIFF is a program that outputs the differences between two binary files, either in binary format or in human readable format (detailed or summarized) and then allows to reconstruct the second file from the first one and the diff-file.

Genetic Algorithm File Fitter, GAFFitter for short, is a tool based on a genetic algorithm (GA) that tries to fit a collection of items, such as files/directories, into as few as possible volumes of a specific size (e.g. CDs or DVDs).

A slightly reduced strength bulk encryption. In exchange for the reduced strength, you get the ability to rsync the encrypted files, so that local changes in the plaintext file will result in (relatively) local changes to the cyphertext file.

Applications involving data acquisition from sensors need samples at a preset frequency rate, the filtering out of noise and/or analysis of certain frequency components. We propose a novel software architecture based on open-software hardware platforms which allows programmers to create data streams from input channels and easily implement filters and frequency analysis objects. The performances of the different classes given in the size of memory allocated and execution time (number of clock cycles) were analyzed in the low-cost platform Arduino-Genuino. The first stage of development is do write a tool to anonymize packet capture files captured with libpcap. After that we will be integrating this with tcpdump to anonymize in real-time and analyze and look for its effect on different IDS's.

We live in very exciting times 😃! BLDC motors are entering the hobby community more and more and many great projects have already emerged leveraging their far superior dynamics and power capabilities. BLDC motors have numerous advantages over regular DC motors but they have one big disadvantage, the complexity of control. Even though it has become relatively easy to design and manufacture PCBs and create our own hardware solutions for driving BLDC motors the proper low-cost solutions are yet to come. One of the reasons for this is the apparent complexity of writing the BLDC driving algorithms, Field oriented control (FOC) being an example of one of the most efficient ones. The solutions that can be found online are almost exclusively very specific for certain hardware configurations and the microcontroller architecture used. Additionally, most of the efforts at this moment are still channeled towards the high-power applications of the BLDC motors and proper low-cost FOC.

The toolkit glpk supports methods for mixed integer linear programming (MILP). These methods solve Capital Budgeting Problems (CBP). Unfortunately, glpk does not support any multithreading and there is no feature to distribute problems via network connections. Today, this is a pitiable sight, because modern computer systems are coupled by networks and support multi threading. We create a distributed system with Apache thrift and the C-API of glpk. Now, it is possible to use as many cores in a network as you want. With a focus on the MILP methods we implement a load balancing and speed up the solving process in a multiplicative way. Sometimes we have super-linear speedup with a small set of hardware. With a splitting of problems, parallel computing and distributing the actual best solution to all running processes we solve CBP much faster than a sequential processing can do.

CADI is an implementation of the JPIP standard (JPEG2000 Interactive Protocol - Part 9). CADI includes a JPIP server, a JPIP proxy, and a JPIP Client. CADI is designed and programmed with the aim to provide a flexible framework to test and develop ne
