Open Source PL/SQL Bio-Informatics Software

The BMF is a Software Framework developed in Java language for the creation of web applications on the server platform also Open source, in clinical, administrative and management for a healthcare company.

This software allows us to create a relational database in PostgreSQL hosting full bacterial genomes. Besides the database, there is software, like a parser, to convert EMBL or GBK files to the CpDB relational schema. Once in the CpDB, one can extract unlimited reports from bacterial genomes using SQL. This software is part of the Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Anderson Santos (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3418-0823) developed under the Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis (Cp) pangenome project. The Cp pangenome delivered to the scientific community fifteen bacterial strains deposited at the GenBank database between the years of 2009 and 2012. The thesis was written in Brazilian Portuguese. The project aims to extend the PHP scripting language to enable PHP developers to write bioinformatics applications more rapidly than if they had to start from scratch using \"vanilla php\".

The Genomic Diversity and Phenotype Data Model (GDPDM) captures molecular and phenotypic diversity data. MySQL databases are used to implement the schema. This project develops software tools (written in Java, Perl, etc.) associated with this model.
