GnuCOBOL (formerly OpenCOBOL) is a free, modern COBOL compiler. GnuCOBOL implements a substantial part of the COBOL 85, X/Open COBOL and newer ISO COBOL standards (2002, 2014, 2023), as well as many extensions included in other COBOL compilers (IBM COBOL, MicroFocus COBOL, ACUCOBOL-GT and others). GnuCOBOL translates COBOL into C and internally compiles the translated code using a native C compiler. Build COBOL programs on various platforms, including GNU/Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows. unluac is a decompiler for Lua 5.0 through 5.4. It runs on Lua chunks that have been compiled with the standard Lua compiler. It requires that debugging information has not been stripped from the chunk. (By default, the Lua compiler includes this debugging information.) This program is written in Java. A JAR package is available in the downloads section so you don't have to compile it. It runs from the command line and accepts a single argument: the file name of a Lua chunk. The decompiled code is printed to the standard output. Here is an example usage of unluac: java -jar unluac.jar myfile.lua > myfile_decompiled.lua The current version also has pretty good support for Lua 5.0 and Lua 5.1. Support for later versions is also good if the code doesn't use too many gotos.

The contents of the pyz file (usually pyc files) present inside the executable are also extracted. The pyc files are made valid so that a python bytecode decompiler will recognise it. Script can run on both python 2.x and 3.x Pyinstaller versions 2.0, 2.1, 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 are supported

SMC takes a state machine stored in a .sm file and generates a State pattern in 14 programming languages. Includes: default transitions, transition args, transition guards, push/pop transitions and Entry/Exit actions. See User Manual for more info.

Jasmin is a Java Assembler. It takes ASCII descriptions for Java classes, written in a simple assembler-like syntax. It converts them into binary Java .class class files suitable for loading into a Java Virtual Machine implementation.

The Portable Forth Environment implements the ANSI Forth Standard, it is fully written in C, the newer version has a module concept, and it is fully multithreaded. Autoconf used. Tested in embedded environments.

JODE is a java package containing a decompiler and an optimizer (aka obfuscator ;-) for java.

MLton is a whole-program optimizing compiler for Standard ML. MLton generates small executables with excellent runtime performance, utilizing untagged and unboxed native integers, reals, and words, unboxed native arrays, fast arbitrary-precision arithmetic based on GnuMP, and multiple code generation and garbage collection strategies. In addition, MLton provides a feature rich Standard ML programming environment, with full support for SML97 as given in The Definition of Standard ML (Revised), a number of useful language extensions, a complete implementation of the Standard ML Basis Library, various useful libraries, a simple and fast C foreign function interface, the ML Basis system for programming with source libraries, and tools such as a lexer generator, a parser generator, and a profiler.

ATasm is a 6502 command-line cross-assembler that is compatible with the original Mac/65 macro assembler released by OSS software. The aim of ATasm is to provide Atari home-brew coders with a comfortable and powerful toolset.

mspgcc4 is no longer supported. Please use the newer toolchain at the MSPGCC project. (This was a port of the GCC 4.x branch to the Texas Instruments MSP430 microcontroller core. It is based on the MSPGCC project that is stuck with GCC 3.2.3.)

The Open Fortran Project (OFP) provides a Fortran 2008 compliant parser and associated tools. These tools provide a Java and C API for actions called when parser rules are completed. It also provides Fortran interfaces to the OpenCL runtime (new). IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Open Fortran Project has switched to using a parser based on SDF (Syntax Definition Formalism). Please consider using our new work at https://github.com/OpenFortranProject/ofp-sdf. While the SDF parser is not as advanced as the ANTLR-based parser, it provides much more capabilities, including a term rewriting system for creating a Fortran AST (Abstract Syntax Tree) using Stratego/XT (see http://strategoxt.org) and other custom program transformations. The OFP ANTLR-based parser is no longer under active development.
