Open Source Python Formats and Protocols for Desktop Operating Systems

BioSig is a software library for processing of biomedical signals (EEG, ECG, etc.) with Matlab, Octave, C/C++ and Python. About 50 different data formats are supported.

The aim of this project is to compile up-to-date Windows builds of FontForge. tqdm is a fast, extensible progress bar for Python and CLI that enables you to see the progress of your loops in a clear and smart way. Simply wrap any iterable with tqdm(iterable), and sit back and watch that progress meter go! tqdm can be wrapped around any iterable, or executed as a module with pipes. Just by inserting tqdm (or python -m tqdm) between pipes will pass through all stdin to stdout while printing progress to stderr. tqdm does not require any dependencies, has a very low overhead and uses smart algorithms to predict the remaining time and skip unnecessary iteration displays. It works on just about any platform, console or in a GUI, as well as IPython/Jupyter notebooks.

This is an ETL software which loads data from DBF/XBase files into MySQL. This utility has command line interface, designed to work without user interaction.

VocalEasel is a simple lead sheet editor and music rehearsal tool designed for the needs of Jazz vocalists, using LilyPond to produce printable lead sheets and MMA (Musical Midi Accompaniment) to produce MIDI accompaniments.

CryptoPy is a pure python implmentation of cryptographic algorithms and applications. The algorithms are developed for readability more than speed. The collection now includes IEEE 802.11i specific algorithms that generated the test vectors for 802.11i.

Project has moved to: https://github.com/OptimalBPM/qal QAL is a collection of libraries for mining, transforming and writing data from and to a number of places. Sources and destinations include different SQL and NoSQL backends, file formats like .csv, XML and excel. Even untidy HTML web pages. It has a database abstraction layer that supports connectivity to Postgres, MySQL, DB2, Oracle, MS SQL server. JSON and MongoDB is coming. It uses XML/JSON formats(self-generated SQL schemas) for representing queries, transformation and merging, making it scriptable. This means that QAL can be backend agnostic about a subset of SQL features and data types. Of course custom SQL:s are also supported. It is currently distributed as a Python 3 Library (pip3 install python3-qal) and Debian .deb package. It is related the Optimal BPM project, see its Optimal Sync application for usage examples. A set of Unix command line tools for quick and convenient batch processing of tabular text files (a.k.a., tab-delimited, csv, or flat file format) with a header line. XUProxy is an extensible multi-protocol proxy based on the Twisted framework. It supports multiple protocol plugins (currently only HTTP), and multiple "filter" plugins for things like logging, caching, and Proxomitron-compatible ad filtering.

A command-line Python utility to mine information on open source projects using the ohloh web service APIs. The script is enables analysis of open source projects indexed by ohloh by providing source lines of code (SLOC), contributor data and other info.
