    Octave Forge

    Octave Forge

A collection of packages providing extra functionality for GNU Octave

Octave Forge is a central location for collaborative development of packages for GNU Octave. The Octave Forge packages expand Octave's core functionality by providing field specific features via Octave's package system. See https://octave.sourceforge.io/packages.php for a list of all available packages. GNU Octave is a high-level interpreted language, primarily intended for numerical computations. It provides capabilities for the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear problems, and for performing other numerical experiments. It also provides extensive graphics capabilities for data visualization and manipulation. Octave is normally used through its interactive command line interface, but it can also be used to write non-interactive programs. The Octave language is quite similar to Matlab so that most programs are easily portable. Refer to https://www.octave.org for more information.

    Peroxide

    Peroxide

Rust numeric library with high performance and friendly syntax

Rust numeric library contains linear algebra, numerical analysis, statistics and machine learning tools with R, MATLAB, Python-like macros. Peroxide uses a 1D data structure to represent matrices, making it straightforward to integrate with BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms). This means that Peroxide can guarantee excellent performance for linear algebraic computations by leveraging the optimized routines provided by BLAS. For users familiar with numerical computing libraries like NumPy, MATLAB, or R, Rust's syntax might seem unfamiliar at first. This can make it more challenging to learn and use Rust libraries that heavily rely on Rust's unique features and syntax.

Grey Wolf Optimizer for Path Planning

Grey Wolf Optimizer for Path Planning

Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) path planning/trajectory

The Grey Wolf Optimizer for Path Planning is a MATLAB-based implementation of the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm designed for UAV path and trajectory planning. It allows simulation of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional UAV trajectory planning depending on parameter setups. The tool provides built-in functions to configure different UAV environments and supports multiple optimization objectives. It includes progress visualization to help monitor the optimization process during simulations. Users can adjust objective function weights and experiment with multiple heuristic search strategies to explore optimal solutions. This project demonstrates applications in multi-agent and multi-UAV cooperative path planning, making it useful for research and educational purposes in the field of intelligent optimization and robotics.

    Machine Learning Octave

    Machine Learning Octave

MatLab/Octave examples of popular machine learning algorithms

This repository contains MATLAB / Octave implementations of popular machine learning algorithms, along with explanatory code and mathematical derivations, intended as educational material rather than production code. Implementations of supervised learning algorithms (linear regression, logistic regression, neural nets). The author’s goal is to help users understand how each algorithm works “from scratch,” avoiding black-box library calls. Code written so as to expose and comment on mathematical steps. The repository includes clustering, regression, classification, neural networks, anomaly detection, and other standard ML topics. Does not rely heavily on specialized toolboxes or library shortcuts.

    Omniglot

    Omniglot

Omniglot data set for one-shot learning

This repository hosts the Omniglot dataset for one-shot learning, containing handwritten characters across multiple alphabets along with stroke data. It includes both MATLAB and Python starter scripts (e.g. demo.m, demo.py) to illustrate how to load the images and stroke sequences and run baseline experiments (such as classification by modified Hausdorff distance). The dataset provides both an image representation of each character and the time-ordered stroke coordinates ([x, y, t]) for each instance. Includes stroke data (time-sequenced coordinates) per sample. The repository is intended as a benchmark dataset in few-shot / meta-learning research, not as a plug-and-play detection or classification engine. Pre-split “background” and “evaluation” alphabets for standard benchmarking.

    Optimizer_sovkov

Constructing and optimizing general mathematical and physical models

We present the package Optimizer, aimed at constructing and optimizing general mathematical models of phenomena of versatile nature. It is written in the Matlab algorithmic language and is executed in the Matlab environment with partial functionality in Octave. The convenient visual interface and the detailed manuals are provided. The main benefit of the package is its capability to construct models of any level of complexity in a block-by-block manner. Elementary model blocks can be collected in libraries, and we have already written many such library programs. Many of these programs are already available along with the main package. Currently, the main focus of these is computational quantum mechanics, analysis and simulation of molecular spectra, and general-purpose approximants. The package provides the most reliable modern strategies for linear and non-linear model optimization, regularization, and hypothesis tests. Parallel computing is supported.

    ebfformat

    ebfformat

    An Efficient Binary data Format

EBF, which stands for Efficient Binary Format, is a binary file format for reading and writing binary data easily. Reading writing routines are currently available in C,C++,Fortran,Java, Python, IDL, MATLAB. A program called ebftkpy which has a set of utility functions to work with the .ebf files , e.g., viewing the contents and getting a summary, is also provided. The EBF specification is designed to be concise and easy to understand to make it easier for others to write their own code if needed. It is also designed to simplify the programming of input output routines in different programming languages. In a nutshell an EBF file is a collection of data objects. Each data object is specified by a unique name and a single file can have multiple data objects. Each data object is preceded by a meta-data or header which describes the binary data associated with it. Among other things, this header allows the files to be portable across systems with different endianess.

    ApproxAdderLib

    Library of Approximate Adders

We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.
