AutoAP
A script to find open Wi-Fi connections and the strongest signal
AutoAP is a script that continuously scans for open Wi-Fi connections, tests them for validity, and connects to the strongest signal. If the connection is lost, the script scans again and finds the strongest valid signal again, and maintains a continuous connection to the internet in a mobile or portable environment. The script paremeters are highly configurable, including ability to configure secure connections. AutoAP is an add on to DD-WRT that allows routers to continuously scan for and connect to open (and predefined WEP) wireless networks. Ultimately the goal is to develop an easily deployable firmware that facilitates fast and easy mesh network creation. Typically, you would use this script on your router while in Repeater Mode, Client Mode, or Client-Bridged Mode. -

Window Maker Live is an installable Linux Live ISO based on the current Bookworm branch of Debian. The system uses the Window Maker window manager as the default graphical user interface. Window Maker Live's components have been carefully preconfigured and the desktop environment has a consistent visual appearance. Window Maker Live integrates selected components from other desktop environments such as XFCE4, MATE, LXQT, with a particular focus on GNUstep. The main idea behind this project is to integrate the Window Maker window manager as default user interface on top of a standard Debian/Bookworm base system. It also serves as an alternate installation medium for Debian/Bookworm. The second main idea not directly visible on the surface level is the inclusion of many useful command line utilities and tools for system administration. This effectively turns wmlive into a UNIX administrator's workbench for rescue and repair operations. -

Mobilinux - Linux for Android
This application will allow you to install and run Linux on Android !
The app supports ROOTED as well as NOROOTED devices. Use your mobile as a Pocket PC !! For Root Method: The application creates a disk image on a flash card, mounts it and installs an OS distribution. Applications of the new system are run in a chroot environment and working together with the Android platform. All changes made on the device are reversible, i.e. the application and components can be removed completely. Installation of a distribution is done by downloading files from official mirrors online over the internet. The application requires superuser rights (ROOT).Installing a new operating system takes about 15 minutes. The recommended minimum size of a disk image is 1024 MB (with LXDE), and without a GUI - 512 MB. Noroot Method: Install MOBICONSOLE addon and then install the linux on a non-rooted phone. -

I got the idea to name a Linux distribution after my favorite celebrity after I saw some earlier Linux distributions named after celebrities, and also this KDE blog post. http://ivan.fomentgroup.org/blog/2011/05/02/splash-screens-and-qml/ And then I thought, she deserves the free promo too. This is amongst the first live distributions to provide a Wayland server. VTs are disabled in the kernel. While 32 bit and 64 bit x86 ISOs used to be provided in each build, the latest builds are 64 bit only due to QtWebEngine refusing to build in 32 bit chroots. (It does NOT have her copyrighted music, or photos on the ISO. You have to buy her music legally on iTunes (or Amazon, etc))) The build scripts in the SVN is available for you to modify and build your own version of this project. This distribution is 3RD PARTY fan made. Yes. I am a fan of Rebecca Black. The latest ISO now has a login manager for Wayland, and now it has removed X from the startup path of the system. -

m23 is a free software distribution system (license: GPL), that installs (via network, starting with partitioning and formatting) and administrates (updates, adds / removes software, adds / removes scripts) clients with Debian, (X/K)Ubuntu and LinuxMint. It is used for deployment of Linux clients in schools, institutions and enterprises. The m23 server is controlled via a web interface. A new m23 client can be installed easily in only three steps. Group functions and mass installation tools make managing a vast number of clients comfortable. The integration of existing clients (with .deb-based distributions) into the system is possible, too. Client backup and server backup are included to avoid data loss. With the integrated virtualisation software, m23 can create and manage virtual m23 clients, that run on real m23 clients or the m23 server. Scripts and software packages (for installation on clients) can be created directly from the m23 web interface. -
