This release brings two fresh tracks by the eager, techno duo DBFB.
Focus, the title track, opens with Detroit stab entwined with gradually evolving lush reverbs. Infrequent, but tight rhythm sets the vibe merging these elements with vocals telling the story of the pursuit of the truths behind nature and the thrills it brings. The truths hidden in ever-repeating patterns of life mostly elude us, though, in some rare moments they render themselves perceivable to us. Focus.
Suspect, the second number, shifts the focus making us restless as if being chased by the dirty breakbeat loops that get quite nasty reminding us of good old-school techno. Detroit stab joins the chase as the motif linking the two tracks together. To make it even more engaging, dispatcher vocals complement the ghetto vibe while building up the chaos (in sequences) taking the reins. Try to keep calm to this one.
