Lustration 06:30
We were born this day Shades pulled off the sky Earth and stone and lakes Fire rides the blaze And we walk This way And we call Thy Name Take me by the hand And we call... Circles in this well Moons are crossing paths Shared spaces and pain The Wheel turns on again And again... And we walk This way And we cross the Gates Breaking seals Dark days... And we call We walk down This road Ashes on the ground Time is endless God Bounded to no-one And we walk This way And we call Thy Name Breaking seals Dark days And we call We call We call

Dear Eli I didn’t wanna see I was denying And living this old dream And for once more All i’ve ever known Was how to love someone Forgetting we are one Didn’t i say “I’m done”? Didn’t i speak to you this tongue? It’s so new to me To remember our dream And for once more All i had to know Was how to forget myself And rule in my own hell

Devotion 05:34
I wanted more Than silver shades And when they’ll pray How well they’ll know? I wanted more Than lover’s days And when i’ll lay How well i’ll know? Death opens the Seal Death opens the Gates Us men know pain But Death opens the doors I wanted more Always some more And when i’ll lay How well i’ll know Of other worlds? And when i’ll lay How well i’ll know? Death opens the Seal Death opens the Gates Us men know pain But Death opens the doors Death opens the Seal Death opens the Gates Us men know pain But Death opens the doors But Death opens the doors Death opens the doors Death

All those days Prays and prays So he decided So he decided All those days The sun was faded So he decided To feel his mind And he did leave But his soul waves And he did leave But his soul stays All those days Streams of faith So he decided So he decided Time its wheel Monster’s fear So he decided To free his mind And he did died But his soul stayed And he did died But his soul waves Oh, the green meadows... Oh, the green meadows... Oh, we march on with the Gods... Oh, we march on with the Gods... Oh, the white shores... Oh , the white shores...

On my knees On this lonesome grave Nullify my speech On my falling night Oh, the sea... And its glassy waves Wiped out all my craves On my falling night Oh, the sky Echoing monsoon Tightening my lungs On my falling night Oh, this feel Radiating blaze Consume all my pain On my falling night Oh, the sun The sea This feel Oh, the sky This feel Oh, the sun This feel Oh, the sky The sea This feel... This feel...

about

Ailise Blake, a former member of the bands J.C. Satan and La Secte du Futur, is a solo artist whose work has a mystical quality, characterised by what some refer to as "Spectral Folk" and is a blend of moody, dark and ethereal songwriting. The upcoming album follows her 2020 debut, "Songs From The Uncanny Valley".

Ailise Blake explains the deep, personal meaning behind the album's title, "Soave": "I titled this album “Soave” not only because of the sound of the word itself, which to my ears sounds like the wind, but because for me, soave is what we perceive silently beneath the action of everyday life, that veil of calm and stillness found when we stop to listen to ourselves; it represents the light and the tenderness, yet it is still and untouchable, it is alchemical, it is transcendental, it gives a sense of peace completely subjective to the mind that perceives it."

She adds that the album represents a "hermit's journey" that she took while recording alone in her studio in a remote mountain village: “I wanted to record Soave in my studio, which is located in a remote village at the top of a mountain, in the middle of a forest, alone, during winter, when my village is practically empty. I’ve spent months in the dark writing, I didn't talk to people for extended periods of time, and I didn't listen to any music but my own. I wanted this experience to be as close as possible to what could be defined as a hermit's journey, but mostly, I wanted it to be honest, and as raw as possible, keeping the production of this album a radical one.”

The album, which Ailise Blake wrote, recorded, produced, and mixed herself, is intertwined with her study of "Thelemic Mysteries and the Ceremonial Magick" and is an "explicit ode" to this philosophy. “This album is part of my initiatic journey and is intertwined with what we westerners call Ceremonial Magick, specifically the one that is practised at the heart of the Thelemic Order of the Ordo Templi Orientis”, said Ailise Blake. “It is an album for everyone and an album for those who transmit the Current 93. What I desire the most with this work is to be able to convey that sense of stillness of the mind, to enable the listener to take a breath when we cannot do so on our own.”
