After the release of Whyte’s two singles in 2020, comes an exciting new three-track release from the UK producer.
Finding Space marries melancholic sounds with energetic rhythms. This coupling of delicate melodies with lively percussion creates a journey for the listener, and it is this ‘journey’ that is so important for Whyte in his music. Within the array of sounds of Finding Space, stories are told, and it is his aim to communicate these stories as gracefully and effectively as possible. If this all sounds too esoteric, then the exciting sounds and rhythms will be enough to captivate you.
Recorded and produced from his studio in Retford, Nottinghamshire, Finding Space draws on sounds from his previous two singles, whilst also introducing new sounds and musical ideas. The name of the EP comes from his experience of solitude over the past year due to the global pandemic. This time brought with it both hardships and possibilities. The lack of socialisation proved difficult, but the time spent alone allowed him to focus on aspects of his life that were previously ignored.
