Fantastic Lemmy app

Clean and simple to use and fast, reliable, and I’ve used it daily for nearly two years - actually even longer from when it was just a PWA, and it has been absolutely amazing. Great support and compatibility for all my devices across all operating systems to have a familiar and feature rich interface for lemmy no matter what device I am using. Open source, respects your privacy, the best way for an app to be. It single-handedly facilitated my transition from Reddit and my favorite Reddit app into lemmy while doing more, and for that I will be forever grateful :)

Better than many, but still a lot of bugs

I’m glad this dev is still active. So many good Lemmy apps have been abandoned. Overall this app has a lot of the best features, but the bugs are still too numerous to tolerate.
When I block a user or community, the first time, the app helpfully hides the post and I continue on. Later, if I block another, the feed JUMPS and I have to figure out where I was.
There are TONS of image/video posts that simply will never load on this app, yet they work flawlessly in nearly all other apps.
The worst, though, is the crashing. It seems like this app doesn’t do a good job of keeping its memory cleaned up. If I scroll (sorted by new) the app will crash after about a day’s worth of my subscribed feed. I can sometimes mitigate this by manually clearing the cache a few times during my browsing.
I would love to see a merger between this app and the Arctic app. I walked away from these bugs and switched to Arctic, but it has sadly joined the abandonware heap.
Devs, I’m back on V-GER for now because the abandoned Arctic has begun to fail with server timeouts. You’re getting a second look out of me after some time. All of the bugs I walked away from are still here. I hope they’re on your priority list somewhere.

Sadly, this app has has major bugs

I’m surprised I tolerated this app for so long. I frequently share pics from lemmy with my chat groups, but the sharing features are quite bad as they don’t use the iOS built-in share sheet. On iPad, sharing often just doesn’t work. And, on the ugly side: sometimes I choose Copy and then paste a giant API error into my chat instead of an image. Also, lots of images in posts don’t appear. They’re just missing. I thought it was a Lemmy issue, but it was this app. No other clients do it. I didn’t give one star since a developer has to know about issues to fix them, but how can this get good ratings? It has multiple showstoppers which haven’t been fixed for months. I doubt I’d use it again unless the image sharing was ripped and replaced.

Developer Response ,

Hi there! That's strange, I haven't had any other reports of issues sharing! Can you please let me know your instance, and any specific posts with issues? Voyager is open source so you can either report on Github or via the [email protected] community. Thank you in advance.
